Me and my partner have stayed at Dar Taliwint twice. Dominique is a charming and knowledgeable host who makes you feel really at home. The Riad is in an excellent location for visiting the souks by day and taking evening strolls throughout the city. Use of the rooftop is a must as the view and nights sky are just wonderful.... We were lucky enough to spend a few days at Dar Taliwint in late December 2014 to early January 2015 and found this riad to be charming and calming in equal measures. The sense that you are in the heart of Marrakech never leaves you, but there is an atmosphere of quiet and restfulness that perfectly counterbalances the joyful chaos... More

During a recent visit to Marrakech we stayed for three nights at Dar Taliwint and found it an excellent location for exploring the area. Within the Medina, it was a convenient base for visiting all the major sites including Place Jemaa El Fna and Palais Bahia. It was also a very restful oasis to return to after the activities of... Our son recommended this riad, having stayed there in January, and we had to agree that it was an excellent find. Dominique is a charming and wonderfully helpful host who looked after us with endless patience and thoughtfulness. Our arrangements were complicated and we had to make various changes and needed paperwork completed ahead of time. Dominique responded promptly and... More

Very well placed within the medina, quiet although central, this small dar offers excellent value. The owner, Dominique, could not be more cultural, helpful and charming. On our last night he offered us a dinner (with wine) which surpassed all our other meals in Morocco. Surely one of best possible choices in Marrakech.

We spent 3 nights in this lovely guesthouse with another couple of friends. Dar Taliwint is located in an excellent position, just a couple of minutes from the main square and the "medina". The beautiful renovated building gave us the chance to experience the moroccan architecture and the fabulous lifestyle. Our room was spacious and spotless. The bathroom was quite... More

We stayed in this lovely riad which had a traditional inner courtyard and a rooftop sun terrace. Our room was furnished in traditional Moroccan style and we had our own ensuite. There was a bowl of fruits and fresh roses in our room as well as complimentary toiletries of black soap scrub and Argan oil shampoo. We looked forward to... More

We returned to spend one night here after spending time in Essaouira. We spent a week at this hotel 7 years ago and it is gratifying to report that the extremely high quality we experienced then has been maintained. Dominique, the owner could not have been more helpful and welcoming, and the very reasonably priced room was very comfortable and... More

Cannot say better things about Dar Taliwint. The hotel is fantastically located, 5 minutes walk from the main square. Inside, the courtyard area is very quiet, and beautifully decorated. Dominique, the host, was so kind, and so helpful. The price as well was amazing. If you are thinking about anywhere else, don't! This is a gem of a hotel.

Our first visit to Morocco and our first stopping point. A perfect introduction to the world of riad travelling in Morocco. Dominique was reassuringly clear in his explanations from the outset. Our aim was to get "lost" in the Medina with time to find our way home. We managed it, enjoyed our stay immensely and owe a great deal of... More
