This hotel is in a great location, and the rooms were clean and tidy. Showers worked, there was hot water, what more can you want? Unfortunately the service was a major letdown. For some reason the cleaning staff thought it was ok not to provide any towels, the reason given was that they were short! This happened for 3 nights... more

I have just returned from a week's stay at the Hotel Islane. My partner and I booked two weeks before travelling and hadn't really checked out the hotel beforehand - the reviews I read between booking and arriving made me wary of what it could be like, but my fears turned out to be completely unfouded! When we arrived (late,... more

The best hotel in town concerning the location. Direct across the koutoubia mosquee, the day starts with the call to pray. Just something to have to feel and experiment!!! The staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is ok, just what u need to start a good day! Rooms are clean and the AC works perfectly. I would recommend this hotel... more

Total tourist trap! The hotel is located right next to the major tourist hub, if you like this kind of location this is the only good point. You will meet more foreigners here than Morrocans for sure! Room was dirty, small, extremely noisy, with a tiny window, no towels (finally I was offered some rags) and no light in the... more

I wasn't really sure what to expect when I booked this hotel for our 5 day/4 night break in Marrakech as the price was so low. I was a nice surprise as the staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was good size and clean with a view of the beautiful Mosque and I slept like a baby every... more

Just returned from a family trip. Chose the hotel because of its excellent location and was glad that we did so - you can get to the Jmaa El Fnaa within a few minutes. That means you are not far from ad-hoc entertainment and from food stalls. On arrival, the hotel said they only had a booking for one room,... more

I recently stayed at the Islane hotel for four nights in January. I got the flight and hotel package for a really good price and because it was a three star in Morocco was not expecting to much. The room was sparsely furnished and the TV had a poor picture, there was a small window high up with no view.... more

This not a hotel. It is more like a correctional borstal. The rooms are dark and dingy , the staff is unhelpful. Very unclean. I bear with it until our room had a cokroach invasion. We complained to the staff and their answer was to give a can of cokroach killer spray. We eventually booked another hotel to keep away... more

We went to Marrakech on spec. Saw this hotel from the taxi, so walked back & got a room. Opposite the Koutoubia, on busy junction.. So expect a wakeup call from the mosque call at sunrise! But it's a terrific view. Ask for a front room tho; I think some of the back ones didn't have much of anything to... more
