We arrived, well before check-in, on 30 May. They made us very welcome, and served mint tea, while getting our room ready for us. The room itself was wonderful - large, airy, air-conditioning, en-suite - just as advertised in fact! We (my partner and myself) found the service wonderful, and if we needed advice they were only too happy to... More

we were welcomed with some mint tea, which was lovely after hours of travelling. The Riad was cool, quiet and peaceful afer the hussle and bustle of donkeys, carts, motorbikes, bikes and hoards of people in the souks, An oasis. It is a 10 minute walk to the main square, longer if you go through the main souks when it... More

It really is an Oasis of calm from that mad world outside that is the medina. This riad isn't one of those trendy types but is a genuine traditional riad so dont go expecting the Malmaison. The breakfast of fresh orange, coffee and moroccan crumpets/pancakes and bread rolls with jam and cheese was a good start to the day. The... More

We arrived for 3 nights on Fri 6 April (flew with thomson fly from Manchester) - our transfer was pre-booked through the Riad, was waiting for us and was kind enough to take us via a 'bureau de change' to change our £'s to dirham, as there was a huge queue at the airport's bureau. The journey was an experience... More

Where to Start? Marrakech is not for the faint of heart. It bombards all your senses at once with its colours, smells, sights and sounds, and that can leave your head spinning at times, but what a fab place to visit. If you intend to visit, why not stay at the Riad Amssafah Hotel right in the heart of it... More

Firstly, it's best to understand that NOONE knows where this Riad is, so ensure you book a taxi through the hotel before you arrive to ensure an easy start to your trip! Thankfully, we did just that but our first day was difficult as it's amazingly difficult to get your barings within the medina. However, once you've done just that,... More

We travelled with a small tour group and were allocated a small but acceptable room in this riad. The public areas are delightful and breakfast on the roof terrace (you might have to insist a bit for it to be served there) is a lovely way to start the day. However you can imagine our horror on waking in the... More

The staff are all very helpful and solve most problems readily. The taxi took a bit of time to pick us up from the airport. The position is ideal for exploring the medina/souks and the place. Breakfast and meals were fine, though I suspect the table napkins get laundered occasionally. The plumbing was temperamental:cold shower, scalding water in handbasin. Lovely... More

stayed at this Riad for 5 nights. average overall. Need to be more customer orientated and would suggest the following. when guests have arrived they should be shown to their rooms immediately and not be kept to wait 30 minutes. The moroccan tea can wait . Rooms really should be made up each morning. We were there 5 nights and... More

Just returned from this riad - Mid February 2007. All building work seems to have been finished. We had a great stay. We had two rooms - a minisuite for us and a bedroom for two teenage children ( which was upgraded FOC to a minisuite on arrival ). We booked via the internet some months in advance, but despite...
