A Riad is strictly speaking not a hotel but rather a big, family run bed and breakfast. This Riad is right in the middle of the Soukes in the Medina in Marrakech and it really gives you a feel for life in the oldest part of the city. You are forced to walk through the narrow alleyways (Soukes) which team... More

Brilliant Riad just on the edge of the Souk. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple but perfectly adequate, we only had one evening meal, but this was because there was such a fabulous choice close by, but the meal we had was tasty and plentiful. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated. The whole Riad was very... More

I went to Marrakech with a good friend and her younger sister. From the Airport we got a cab and showed him the address which we had noted on a piece of paper, we were prepared on getting lost and possibilly not being able to find this riad as many reviews had described. However the cab driver knew exactly where... More

My boyfriend and me just came back from a great stay in this little guesthouse. All the basics were met, after all this is NOT a 5* Hotel, and they serve a lovely breakfast with the most delicious pancakes.. It was very cold but the A/C functioned as a heater if controlled correctly. The two sisters are both very friendly and... More

The Riad Amssafah is without a doubt the worst accomodation we have ever stayed in. Fatima the receptionist is the rudest person ever to be let near a hotel, never have we been so verbally abused, by anyone, let alone someone working in hospitality. To cut a long story very short, the room was freezing cold, shower, aircon and lamps... More

We stayed at Riad Amssaffa for a week from the 16/12/07 to the 23/12/07 and had a wonderful stay. The Riad is beautiful, clean and most importantly the food was excellent. Breakfasts are a basic bread and pancakes with jam and hot coffee, but make sure you check out the evening and lunch menu. The Tajines are wonderful and you... More

Quite a distance from the square. It's a problem navigating your way back at night - a tad scary, dark with unsavoury characters. Neighbourhood was slump like. Room was spacious but hot shower didn't work - switched between molten hot and icy cold without warning. Breakfast was a dump. Cold pancakes with jam and butter, absolutely awful. Staff were icy... My boyfriend and I spent two nights at the Riad Amssaffah at the beginnning of December. We really enjoyed our stay although two nights was enough for us - Marrakesh is a very hectic City and we enjoyed experiencing it though did not find it as relaxing as some other city breaks. The riad itself is exactly as other posts... More

We booked this hotel as a last minute break and found everyone to be pleasant and helpful. The taxi had a few problems finding the riad but made a call and someone came to meet us. The room was spacious and spotless and good value for what we paid. The best thing about this Riad is its location though, in... More

This place is an absolute dump. I really can't say anything good about it. The staff were often surly and unhelpful, they couldn't even provide us with any maps. As for the rooms, there's not much good there. The bedding and coverings on the furnishings were dingy and and worn. The bathroom wasn't even basic with only one light working... More
