Despite the riad being off the beaten track it is still right in the centre of the madness that is Marrakech. The rooms are tired and lacking in comfort, the bathroom tiles broken and rough. The seating area on the roof terrace was an array of staff laundry, old broken chairs and a few usuable ones. Saying that the downstairs area... More

The staff were wonderful and very helpful from time we arrived. We only found the riad on booking.com at last minute for a stop over on our way to the coast but would of loved to stay longer. The downstairs reception rooms, lounges and bedrooms were stunning authentic Moroccan style and very spacious. As we arrived late we were unsure... More

I'd describe this Riad as a sparkling gem hidden (somewhere) in the middle of the medina. We spent a week in this riad and was very happy with our stay. The staff were very helpful, friendly and made us feel at home, such a beautiful hotel very traditional in its décor. Skalatchi (staff) was such a sweetheart we couldn't have... More

Fantastic gem of a place in middle of bustling streets of Medina you enter through an archway into this oasis of antique Moroccan style. Lovely, spacious, exotically styled bedrooms with beautiful bathroom. Beautiful dining area beside swimming pool. Lovely seating areas and sun roof terras. Great for families with kids: pool and roof terras to play, 2 steps from middle... More

We spent a week in this riad and enjoyed every minute. Finding the riad in the souks was a great adventure. The breakfasts were lovely.traditional morrocan breads. Eggs. Cheese.butter and jams. Fresh orange and tea or coffee. No time limit on what time you ate breakfast. Clean towels daily. we had a suite ,this was beautiful. The bed was so... More

This is a very authentic riad in a good position to explore the medina. Fatima was more than helpful providing maps, taxi etc. If your looking for luxury this is not the place for you, but if you want to taste a bit of old charm give it a go. This is a very basic B&B and hot water is... More

The staff at the Riad Amssaffah are great, especially helpful is Fatima. The communal areas of the Riad are wonderful and plentiful; perfect for chilling out from your day the city; just the kind of place I wanted to stay in whilst in Marrakech. Authentic and peaceful. The hotel is very clean throughout. However, the bedrooms though clean, are in... More

Having read several other reviews on this site I was nervous about staying at this Riad. However it was a excellent old building and as such being approx 300 years old its by no means a 4 star Hotel. In fact if i was to compare it to a UK standard it is a very good B & B. So... More

I have just read Kim B's review, and my experience totally echoes hers. After the sensual whirligig of the streets outside, it is a beautiful haven of calm. I would not change one part of it: it is an historic building, entitled to be a little old-fashioned. Heeding the warnings, I took my wind-up torch, and extra toilet paper...... I... More

Myself and my partner have just returned from a stay at Riad Amssaffah and what an experience it has been! The location of this beautiful, albeit slightly dated in parts, Riad is incredible, you can wander for miles through the souks of Marrakech, you take a turn through an archway and like being transported on a cloud you are immediately...
