When we first arrived we had been hassled for tips on the airport car park and driven into the Medina to arrive at this very nondescript door. The interior of the Riad was fantastic. We had a small suite on the first floor with bed, seating area and bathroom with plenty of luggage storage space. We were greeted by Sybille... More

Loved every minute of our stay . Sybille and her husband Saad welcomed us. We were served Mint tea and pastries in the beautiful courtyard before being shown our room. in fact we were given a choice of rooms! Very peaceful and tranquil .breakfast on roof terrace amazing. Served beautifully and we had something different everyday. We had several meals... More

We stayed at the riad in mid February 2014. It was lovely. We had transport booked from the airport and were slightly concerned as we went through the narrow windy crowded streets and then stopped in what appeared to be a fairly poor area. We were taken off and then stood at a little wooden door, waiting for it to... More

We had always wanted to stay in a Riad if we visited Marrakech and there are loads to choose from but you can't go wrong with this one. From the moment you step through the unassuming front door into the Riad and down some steps into the courtyard. You enter a haven of peace & tranquility. The birds in their... More

a lovely place to stay, beautifully restored and furnished. The continental breakfast + is a nice start to the day whether on the roof terrace or, if cloudy, in the salon downstairs - we were faintly stunned to see a review complaining about no hot breakfast, this is a Riad not a one size fits all tourist hotel in Spain,... As a single female travelling by train via Casablanca, I felt at times guarded during my trip (naturally). And while I never felt in danger or in any harm of sorts, Riad Dar Sbihi served as an oasis during my stay in Marrakesh. At Dar Sbihi, I could relax completely and just enjoy all the intricatcy and beauty that is... More

Step straight into the magical pages of 1001 Nights. This jewel of a riad, with its rooms all facing into a central garden courtyard, has been carefully restored and furnished in traditional Islamic style. The roof terrace is a lovely spot for breakfast, and is a sun-trap throughout the day. Service is attentive but discreet. You pass through street markets... More

We had considered staying in a stylish hotel 15 - 20 minutes from the Medina so that we could enter the bustling streets at will but then beat a hasty retreat as and when it suited us. After much contemplation, Instead, we chose this beautiful authentic Riad, located behind a heavy wooden door which leads directly out onto the streets... More

Having just spent a wonderful week at Saad and Sybilles beautiful riad we can only confirm what the majority of fellow travellers already know. The riad is located in the northern part of the medina, away from the traffic and noise of central Marrakech. We were fortunate with mild weather and able to have most of our lazy breakfasts on... Riad has been rebuilt in traditional style - beautiful rooms and courtyard. Very tranquil although be prepared for call to prayer at 0530 every morning from next door mosque and motorbike noise if you have rooms next to the alley. Location is Bab Taghzout about 20 min walk north of Jemaa el Fna - not the location shown on TA's... More
