We stayed three days at Riad Catalina in January. We had a lovely time in Marrakech. The staff was amazing, the room very romantic and the interior court beautiful. It is well situated, a few minutes from Djemaa Al-Fna square. An oasis of calm and tranquility in a bustling town. The breakfast was scrumptious, and the lamb and prunes tagine at... More

Wow! I loved staying in the Medina of Marrakech! Riad Catalina is excellently located for walking throughout the Medina and to Jemaa El-Fna. Tea in courtyard, breakfasts and happy hours in lounge were fun for meeting other guests. Guests tend to be European and a few Americans. Staff could and did arrange anything we requested...packaging for transporting chandelier home, daytrip... More

My friend and I stayed here in September for 5 days relaxation, and that's just what we got. I'd been told that staying in a Riad inside the Medina is a must in Marrakech, due to the fabulous food and warm hospitality you can expect. Given the wonderful welcome we were given at Riad Catalina, I would (and have now)... More

I have recently returned from a weekend away in Marrakech for the third time, but this time we decided to stay in a riad after staying at the sofitel a couple of times. What can i say about the catalina, well, it was magical the moment you walk down the winding backstreets, entering the little wooden door it was like a... More

We have just come back from a long weekend (2nd Dec – 5th Dec) in Marrakech. This is our second visit to Marrakech, before we had stopped in one of the big hotels on the outskirts of Marrakech, this time we wanted to try a Riad. We stayed at the Riad Catalina opting for half board. The staff are so... More

If you normally like to stay at a chain hotel with predicatable services and rooms, this isn't the place for you. A traditional house centred round a beautiful courtyard, the rooms are small and traditional and you are lucky if you get a window (usually off the bathroom). The pool is very small and has few loungers/chairs, so is great... More

This was my first time to Marrakech and I was advised to stay in a Riad. The Riad Catalina was excellent, clean, very friendly staff and lovely breakfast. The room was small with no windows but more than adequate. The pool was fantastic to cool off after walking round the souks all day. A definate must. We booked a taxi... More

Lovely courtyard. Swimming pool is more a plunge pool. Evening meal was lovely but quite expensive. Room was on the small side but well designed and decorated. Superbly friendly & courteous staff. Alcohol available (wine/beer/spirits). Very central - fairly difficult to find initially but probably easier than most other riads (you don't have to make your way through the souks... More
