Riad Jonan was a hidden gem of a hotel! We had the best time and experiences in Marrakech for the few days we were there because of the homely yet authentically Morrocan feel to this hotel and its heart-warming staff. Hassan is the guy to look out for here - he explained a number of activities that were a must... More

Please ignore the earlier negative review in January 2015 we were present at the same time and the staff led by Hassan couldn't have been more helpful. Even though we came via an HSBC premier points holiday and only had the standard room we had a fascinating time and the hotel is a very nice charming example of Moroccan architecture... More

Loved this riad! Our first trip to Morocco and we were a little unsure about what to expect. Hassan and his team quickly put us at ease, providing a map and information to help us navigate the streets of Marrakech. Incidentally, I can't agree with a previous review that writes of a 'dodgy alleyway'. Guys do hang out on the... More

Stayed her for one night with my fiance and thought for the price we paid, was really low standard. The location is terrible, really dodgy alleyway, on our way there, we were hounded by locals guys and they insisted we gave them money. The hotel staff were helpful as we arrived and they tried to push them away. Still, this... More

The place which you consider as terrible and dodgy is a popular area without any problem where simply live the inhabitants of Marrakesh. None of these people is "dodgy" and represents a danger. The people who asked you for some money had offered you a service by guiding you to the Riad. This small tip asked by them was thus... More

First time in this city with extended family group of seven. We were really well looked-after by Hassan, Hassan, Abdul and Said, who were always friendly and polite (we were probably a bit demanding, to be honest!) and tended to our needs brilliantly. The accommodation was great and really well-maintained and comfortable; hot water readily available. Special mention must go... More

Marrakech is a great spot for a family getaway in December and this riad was ideal for our purposes. There were hardly any other guests and its location is spot on; easy to access from the airport and other out of town locations, just 15 minutes from the main square & Jewish quarter, near a road with all the basics... We loved staying at Riad Jonan. The hosts sat down with us for a significant amount of time and explained everything to us, they were so kind and helpful. They warned us not to follow anyone in the market anywhere. Our first day in the market a man said, oh come see my shop just 3 minutes away - 3... More

My friend and I keep going back to this wonderful riad because of the staff who are superb and can't do enough for you. Marrakech is a special place, we love the noise and chaos outside in the kasbah and the souk and then returning to riad Jonan where there is complete tranquillity and a welcome from Hassan and his... Road Jonah is a wonderful place to stay. The peace and quiet is unbelievable compared to the busle of Marrakech. We were welcomed with mint tea and hot towels while we were given a run down of the city and a map. The room was small but more than adequate. The shower was unexpectedly powerful and loads of hot water.... More

Had a great time staying in the raid. The first day was my partners birthday and I had ordered food to be prepared in the riad that night. It was a superb meal and the best we had during our stay in Marrakech. Hassan was very helpful on our arrival and gave us information about places to visit and good... More
