We absolutely LOVED Riad El Zohar. From the moment we arrived our welcome was so warm, with a personal tour of the Medina to ensure that we could orientate ourselves and find our way back. It is so centrally located and the owners have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the surrounding restaurants and safes, not to mention many of the shops... More

Having visited Marrakech a couple of times in the past what a find Riad El Zohar turned out to be. Fantastic location, wonderful staff and as with other reviews a beautiful and extremely we'll kept Riad. I would certainly recommend El Zohar to anyone planning to visit Marrakech.

I loved my stay. From the moment I walked through door. I had never been to Marrakech and arrived quite late so it was somewhat a whirlwind (HOT) walk through the winding streets of the Medina at 9.45pm with a porter to an understated front door. With a ring of the bell the door opened and I was led through... More

Allan, his wife and staff could not have been more helpful and kind. The Riad is incredibly comfortable, with a lovely swimming pool, loads of sunbathing areas and places to just chill out. Breakfast everyday was perfect, and we really were able to treat the place as our own. Considering the hussle and bussle of Marrakech, the Riad was totally... More

Allan and his wife and staff could not have made our stay more perfect. From looking after us to recommending places and guiding us each time, the Riad they have so carefully renovated is beautiful and a haven of tranquility. The food is delicious too, the staff charming and after a wonderful stay, I cannot recommend this gorgeous place too... More

First, the location of this Riad is perfect. It's just on the edge of the old Medina in one of the best areas of Marrakech. You are steps away from everything - but tucked away down a quiet derb so that you aren't harassed by noise and the hustle/bustle of the markets. Next, your host is amazing. Allan not only... More

We stayed at Riad El Zohar in February 2014 ;I have been meaning to write a review ever since, but kept putting it off whilst I struggled to find the words to do it justice! We were seven 'girls' and the occasion was that one of us was celebrating her 60th birthday. What an amazing venue - it made a... More

Wow what can I say about Riad El Zohar. Every part of the stay was amazing. We stayed 3 nights and by the end we felt like part of the family. The service is perhaps the best I've had anywhere. The staff were lovely and friendly and the owner, Allan, goes out of his way to make your stay as... More

We had a fantastic time in Marrakech. Riad El Zohar was a total haven of tranquillity in the busy-ness of the souks. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Mint tea was served at any time in any place in the riad. Best served on the rooftop terrace, with views out over Marrakech. We spent 5 nights at... More

Unfortunately we ended up spending more time in the Riad then we expected after picking up a stomach bug before we arrived that laid me and my wife low. Although that was the case we were fortunate that we found ourselves in such a wonderful place. The staff were considerate, helpful and could not have been more accommodating which was... More
