We had the pleasure of staying at the Riad over the New Year and can advise that we had a perfectly wonderful time. The Riad is perfectly located to embed yourselves in the fascinating city of Marrakech. The Riad is both luxurious and clinically clean. The owner and his team made us feel extremely welcome nothing was too much trouble.... More

This Riad was lovely. It was very old and authentic. The breakfasts were enormous and all freshly prepared in the kitchen. There was a lovely terrace on the roof where you could see for miles. We found the location just right. Very near the souks, so you didn't get lost, but our host Allen was extremely helpful and actually walked... More

Riad El Zohar is a lovely relaxing place to stay and Alan and his staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. He was full of recommendations and also took us to some trusted traders where we could get the best spices and other bits and pieces we were interested in. Highly recommended for the comfortable... It's like staying in the home of some very good friends. Completely laid back - breakfast 'just come down whenever you want it'. Tea & coffee on request and free, big bottles of water in your room - why don't all hotels do that? Lots of comfortable spots for lounging - sun beds and plump sofas on the roof terrace,... More

Was met by the engaging Riad owner 'Alan'. Alan is the perfect host and made us feel so very welcome and special. Aland was able to sit down with us over our pre-ordered dinner and not only explain the food but how to navigate and deal with Marrakesh and the souks and dozens of alleyways and little streets. The Riad... More

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we would welcome you both back....you were 'low maintenance ' guests and easy to look after! We are so sorry about the problems with the aircon heating in your room. It took our contractor four days to effect a repair. It was finished as you left; sorry! The repair is a... More

What a great find! Right in the Medina and close to the Souks and the main square. Beautifully restored Riad with the most wonderful English speaking staff and excellent food and service. The proprietor Allan was incredibly welcoming and helpful. I have one suggestion, to find a method of making the communal areas warmer for those visiting in the winter... More

Riad El Zohar is a beautiful, restored house in the centre of the medina. Reached down a maze of twisty streets and tunnels the hotel is peaceful and full of atmosphere. The food is excellent and the staff could not be more friendly and helpful, doing everything they can to make your stay a fabulous experience. The host Allan is a... More

As it was my first visit to Morocco and having spent most of my recent holidays in 5 star resorts I must confess to a slight concern as we left the airport and headed deep into Marrakech!!! After walking down what seemed like a maze of tunnels we arrived at the Riad El Zohar and i couldn't believe my eyes.... More
