We had a short stay, but our welcome and lodging experience here was impeccable. Everyone worked together to make our stay like being with family. The Riad is exquisitely decorated with sophisticated photographs and authentic artifacts. The structure is stunning, and not a poor renovation. The food is great, and wondefully served poolside, rooftop, or in your room. We loved... more

From booking direct to leaving to go home, we were treated like long lost friends and while there we also felt like family friends. All the staff very welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Breakfast on the roof was to die for. although wonderfully close to the Medina, once through the lovely entrance door all was peace and quiet and... more

Thanks to all staff for a truely wonderful 3 nights at Riad El Zohar. We ate in on our first night and it was one of the best meals our entire trip. The staff ,especially Eraddi and the manageress (sorry I've forgotten her name) couldn't have been more helpful and although our French leaves a lot to be desired, language... more

We returned last night from a 7 night trip around Morocco booked through Naturally Morocco. Our last 3 nights were spent at the Riad El Zohar and what a wonderful 3 nights they were! This was the best Riad we stayed at in Morocco and it definitely deserves the 5 star rating. It is a hidden gem in Marrakech which... more

We loved the whole experience of Marrakesh and this Riad we chose reflected the city perfectly - authentic, charming, tasteful and colourful - just like our hosts Malika and Alan. Like others before us - we ate in on two occasions - and by doing so enjoyed the best food of our trip. The staff were hugely welcoming and nothing... more

If you're going to Marrakech (highly recommended) then you will not find a better place to stay than Riad El Zohar. We've been fortunate to have travelled to many places in the world, staying at some of the best hotels available. The service you receive at El Zohar is up with the very best of them. The food is 'home... more

Marrakech is a bit like seeing all of the ages of man co-existing. The wealth and culture, of a great and ancient civilisation, contrasting with the poverty and grinding working lives so many of the people clearly endure. The abiding good nature of the people was apparent everywhere; at no time did we feel harrassed or threatened. The team at... more
