Having got back from a 5 day trip to Marrakech last night the first thing I wanted to do this morning was write a great review for the Equity Point Hostel. I went with two other girls for a girly holiday and chose Equity Point, partly because of a recommendations from friends, but mostly because we wanted an authentic experience... More

Loved this big Riad in the centre of the medina of Marrakech. We had a private room which was beautifully decorated in Moroccan style, it even smelled like that, great! Sadly the private rooms didn't have aircon. Great pool in the middle and a great atmosphere to meet fellow travelers. It also has a great rooftop terrace. Breakfast wasn't really... More

We were four friends on a five day trip to Marrakech. We stayed here and we did not regret it. We had a four bed room and it was small, but it worked. On the roof top there is a bar, I recommend hanging out here at night for the real arabic atmosphere. There are also four sun beds on... More

DO NOT book a double room - they are smelly and overpriced. When we could not cope with the smell we asked to move (they did not question us or check so this must be a regular complaint), the next room was no better. The next room had been sprayed with a lot of lynx to mask the smell. Over... More

Booked in to Equity Point having stayed there 8 months ago and this time booked a private double to end our trip. I would echo what other reviews have said and avoid like the plague! We were placed in room 102, the smell of damp, mildew and mould on entering the room was unbearable so we were moved to room... More

Given the almost flawless comments made about Equity Point on TripAdvisor and Hostelworld, we were anticipating an excellent end to our holiday in Morrocco. We found it relatively easily - there are signs if you look for them - and were impressed with the reception area and riad-style building. However, things started to go downhill when we were shown to... More

Exceptional location in the heart of the Souks in Marrakesh. Great price, clean rooms and ensuite showers, great lounge areas to choose to hang out in, not to mention the pool is vital to surviving in Moroccan heat! The best value for your money! Multilingual staff that has all the answers you need.

I traveled alone for the first time ever and spent my 30th here, on the rooftop terrace, drinking a cold lager with folk I met at the hostel - Esther, Jamie Cruickshank, Junior and Robert. Man, good times. Staff are helpful and friendly, rooms are decorated lovely. To be honest, the only thing missing I'd say is a pool table...... More

The worst bed bug infestation ever!!! DO NOT STAY HERE. Terribly rude staff who wouldn't refund us even though we slept in two rooms that had bed bugs. Such a pity as it's a lovely place with a pool but would never recommend this to anyone. We saw so many guests who had bite marks all over them! We spoke... More

Do not stay. My friend was badly bitten by bed bugs- moved room and got bitten again. Seen more than one person with bites on them. Staff were very rude about it. Very nice place, with great pool. Such a shame!
