We stayed a long weekend at Tchaikana in early March. having booekd months ago.based on a review in The Indepedent newspaper. It was marvellous. Such a change from the large impersonal hotels. The arrival by taxi and slightly breathless pursuit of a taxi driver who is taking your luggage down a network of streets is the perfect introduction to Marrakech... More

Two friends and I stayed at this amazing Riad at the start of March. We arrived on a Saturday night at about 9pm and thanks to the taxi driver who collected us from the airport (which the riad will arrange for you for 12euros each way) we arrived safely. I would highly recommed this service as your chances of finding... More

We just came back from out holiday in Marrekech, we stayed in this wonderful Riad. Its very close to all the action and there is a small walk to the Riad via an unlit tunnel. But when you get there its a wonderful place. Breakfast is good, and nice to have free soft drinks throughout the stay. The host was... More

Just returned from Marrakech less than a week ago, and we were absolutely thrilled with our choice of Tchaikana. Everything about the stay, starting with our airport pickup, exceeded our expectations. Tchaikana is an immensely relaxing place within a busy section of the medina, and Jean Francois and Delphine are the best hosts one could ask for. Breakfast is served... More

It would be difficult to find fault with this wonderful place , particularly when the owner is so very hospitable and keen to rectify any potential problem. The peace and tranquility is partly to do with design of the riad but also the impeccable furnishing which includes cushioned alcoves where one can read quietly while classical music is a gentle... We stayed at Tchaikana in June 2006 and where pleasantly surprised on arrival. We ere lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite, which was absolutely huge - 4 poster bed, lounge, fire place, separate toilet and double bathroom! The whole riad is beautifully decorated in a traditional/modern style. If the riad wasn't enough, well then, Jean Francios made it,... More

A lovely riad in the heart of the Medina. Stayed just before Xmas. Excellent breakfasts with a chance to eat 'authentic' Moroccan breads. It was difficult to find through narrow tunnels which would have been fun, if it hadn't been pouring down rain the whole time we were there - making everything muddy and difficult to traverse. Found the Riad... More

This was our first visit to Marrakech, and the Tchaikana was the perfect place to say. We were collected from the airport by taxi arranged by the Riad and we were navigated to the riad on foot by the driver. Initially that journey was daunting but it is perfectly safe. The Riad is beautiful, our suite was simply enormous. The... More

We arrived at Tchaikana tired after a trip to the desert . This is the perfect place to stay in Marrakech ! We were welcomed by Jean -Francois, given a drink ( beers and wine available !) and introduced to this delightful Riad . Our room was perfect, plenty of space and lovely decor and artefacts collected by Delphine from... More

The first place we stayed at on our trip to Morocco was the Tchaikana ... and I cannot say enough good things about this riad. First, you must have Jean-Francoise send a taxi to pick you up from the Marrakech airport. Otherwise, you may never find the place. We paid the small fee directly to the riad and Jean-Francoise took... More
