We stayed 4 nights in this riad recently and had a great time. From the huge room to the relaxed patio, the sunny roof terrace and the lovely host, Jean-Francois, this is a dream place to stay in. The owner is very aware of the state of shock you are in when you arrive through the small alleys of the... More

A friend and I stayed here for 4 nights at the beginning of June. We really appreciated the generous hospitality of the owner, Jean Francois. Always willing to give advice on the area, book taxis, organise trips etc. The riad itself was a welcome oasis from the medina mayhem and the sometimes overwhelming heat. The rooms themselves were lovely and... More

My friends and I stayed at Tchaikana last week. We really liked it and enjoyed the "aperitif" offered in the evening (at 7.00 PM) and Jean-François's (the owner) detailed information on everything we needed. All the team (house masters, taxi drivers...) is friendly and reliable. He and his wife Delphine, made a gorgeus place to stay where you can relax... More

A stylish Riad that is very close to the main square (Jemma el Fna) in the centre of Marrakech. Would recommend that pre-arrival, you ask the Riad owner, Jean-Francois Claeys, to organise a taxi to meet you at the airport. Cars cannot infiltrate the medina where the riad is situated, so the taxi stops (fairly) close to the riad and... More

If you are looking for a cool relaxing tranquil oasis amongst the hustle, bustle and mayhem of the souk and medina, Tchaikana is the place for you. If you want the anonymity of an all-inclusive generic plastic hotel, then Tchaikana is not the place to stay. We have just enjoyed a 6 day stay at this small comfortable riad run... More

Arriving in Marrakech can be quite an eye opener, but from the moment we stepped into this Riad, we knew we chose wisely. This Riad is an oasis with the chaos of the Medina. Its greatest gem is Jean-Francois, the owner, who not only makes you feel welcome but also completely at ease with Marrakech. He is always on hand... More

This is a great place to stay. The riad was beautiful and the space in our suite was a real luxury. Friendly staff. The owner Jean-Francois was very pleasant to chat to and made some good recommendations for things to do in Marrakesh and places to stay elsewhere.

This riad is one of the friendliest, most welcoming places we have ever stayed in. It's not luxurious but is very charming and stylishly decorated and is well located in the centre of the media. The owner, Jean Francois, is extremely helpful and wil do his best to help you organise whatever you want to do or see in Marrakech... More

This riad was absolutely wonderful in everyway! Jean-Francois helped us from the first day I contacted him. We booked the smaller room (which worked great b/c it fit our budget). At his suggestion, he sent a cab to pick us from the train station. This saved us a lot of hassle with cab drivers hassing us to come with them.... More

Stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. Had a really great time. Fun location (easy to find once you've been shown by the kind host ;-) ). Food was great. Soft drinks/tea are free - and the alcoholic ones are cheaply available. The room was tastefully decorated, and all of them look out onto the courtyard... More
