In the midst of the busy souks of Marrakech, Dar Soukaina was a wonderful find for my father and I on our first trip to Morocco. Greeted every time you walk in by the exceptionally friendly, courteous and knowledgeable staff (who spoke fluent English)- enjoy afternoon tea in the lovely calm, quiet courtyard or cool off by dipping your feet... My friend and I were two women traveling on our own in Morocco. This place provided a safe, warm (in care), and relaxing environment after long days of negotiating the streets of the Medina. They were very helpful and friendly, providing good travel advice and relaxing mint tea at any hour. Sure there are luxury hotels in the new city... More

My giirlfriend and I stayed at Dar Soukina for 7 nights over a period of 14 days. We were delighted by the peace and calmness of this traditional Moraccan house. The staff were wonderfully helpful and made us feel welcomed guests. We travelled out of Marrakech on a number of occasions, always leaving kit ( and laundry) at the Dar.... More

I have been to the Riad twice already and I absolute love it. Perfectly located in the vibrant Medina, it is great for wandering around the souk (it is very easy to find a cab to go to the new town as well). The rooms are decorated in the autentical marrocan style, they are very clean and spacious. The Manager... More

We just came back from a 4-day trip with a group of 15 friends, the organisation from Omar, Abdallah and Rasheed was just perfect and very very friendly. They made sure we all felt home and always went the extra mile to help us organising taxis, dinners, excursions, teas... Breakfasts were just amazing! The rooms were very clean and made... More

Absolutely fabulous Riad in Marrakesh! One feels at home, service and rooms impeccable. The staff of Dar Soukaina goes above and beyond. The location is ideal for late night taxi drop off in the close by square next to Riad Larousse pharmacy populaire, you will feel very safe walking back. Breakfast is DELICIOUS, and chill out time of quality! More

First the downside .. if you don't fancy walking down dark-ish alleys to get to your accommodation then this hotel may not be for you. A taxi will drop you 5-10 minutes' walk away and a walk through the medina may easily get you lost on your way back (ignore all requests for guidance until you are completely lost! Most... More

A beautiful and clean riad, with lovely staff (every single one of them!). Our room (in riad 2) was really beautiful, and the bathroom is fantastic with a massive moroccan bathtub. All of the staff was very friendly and eager to help us with things to do around Marrakech. They all spoke English as well as French and Arabic. The... More

This is a small riad in the medina, with few rooms and friendly personnel. It doesn't have a lot of facilities, just the the reception, the rooms, a small kitchen, and a central common space with a small tree. We had the first room on the left, opposite the kitchen. It hadn`t windows to the street, only to the inner... More

Fantastic hotel, fantastic staff and the best breakfast we have ever had. After travelling for 22 hours to get to Morocco, this was exactly what we needed. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the place is just beautiful. The room was spotless. It was so nice to have somewhere as peaceful as this to retreat to after the... More
