Excellent food, fabulous service and beautiful buildings. Right in the centre of the city; 5 mins from the fun (although until you get your bearings the souks are quite confusing and you will probably get lost!). Would recommend the supper, which for us arriving late in the evening meant we were relaxed and then ready to start exploring the following... More

We enjoyed staying 5 days in this Riad. We were picked up by a taxi driver at the airport (Reservation needed via the Riad cost 25€). The staff is very gentle and helpfull, and was able to give us good suggestions on how to visit Marrakech. Spend a day in the Atlas mountains with the same cabdriver who took us... More

We are a family of five, with three young children (aged 3, 5 and 7), staying for one week at Easter. The Riad and staff provided the exact balance between authenticity and service, within a wonderfully renovated building. The staff were always polite and genuinely keen to assist and offer advice when requested. They were able to ensure that we... More

Very nice renovated traditional place, easy to find. Excellent, devoted personnel. Excellent food: copious breakfast and ideal dinner (on demand) after a busy day. Perfect situation, very quiet and central.

There is no word to describe how beautiful the riad is. From the extraordinary details on Moroccan architecture into the warm and lovely staff in the Riad. We were also very lucky to have the chance to meet the Owner, Dominique. Mr. Dominique has kindly upgraded us to occupy the jade suite which was one of the beautiful room i... More

We could not fault the service; all the staff from the manager Zak to the cleaner Ameena made sure that we felt at home. Jemina is an excellent cook, happy to give demonstrations; her food was so delicious and the dining room so welcoming that we ate in on most evenings. Don''t be put off by the location; at first... Initially when the pushcart person was guiding the way to reach the Riad from Bab Ksour with all our belongings, we got concerned about our safety as he took such a tortuous path that we did not have minimum confidence to get the way out on our own in next few days. But when we reached the gorgeous Riad with... More

I visited a few riads, but Dar Al kounouz is definitely on the top of the list. It is decorated with a lot of taste. Every detail is carefully managed. The space is a very warm and welcoming. Zak, who runs the place, is always around (but not too intrusive). An impressive emotional intelligence! Whole setup and staff make guests... More

This typical moroccan riad is a lovely place, decorated and furnished with great taste and high quality. The staff is really kind and helpful, amazingly good breakfast, mint tea served on the terrace overlooking the medina, all the charme of an authentic moroccan lifestyle without the noise and the dust of Jamaa el Fna, but les than 10' walk from... This riad was definitely one of the highlights of our trip of 6 days to Marrakech. Starting with the location, you couldn’t find better location, in the historical centre close to the main square Jemaa el-Fnaa, the heart of the city. The typology was truly moroccan: a house with a courtyard with a fountain in the middle and palm trees.... More
