My husband and I stayed five nights here in July 2009. The riad is beautiful (seemingly very authentic) and wonderfully calm (except for prayer times from the nearby Koutoubia!) The staff were exceptional - we were greeted with mint tea and biscuits on arrival, given maps and a brief overview of the city. Mohammed often climbed three flights of stairs... more

We had a great relaxing stay in this Riad, couldnt fault it really! The staff left you alone to enjoy your holiday but were always on hand if you needed anything. Hermina (the maid) only spoke French but her happy cheery disposition every morning with our Moroccan breakfast was such a welcome sight from the hussle and hassle of the... more

We stayed at Dar Al Kounouz for 3 nights with our two young sons and were really impressed with the beauty of the riad and the helpfulness of the staff. For example, they booked a car for us (at better rates than what we could find online), and ran out to get a roadmap for us at the last minute... more

The review is coming a bit late ,but after reading the newest review with a rather low score I thought it was time for som nice words about Dar Al Kounouz.. We were four ladies staying here in november 2007. We had a friendly welcoming already at the the airport .The staff did their best to make our stay a... more

I went to Marrakech with my wife on August and we stayed for a couple of nights at Dar al Kounouz. It needs some mantainance, breakfast (which is included) is pretty basic and simple and the staff were kind of grumpy and at some point rude.... I honestly do not recommed it, I guess there are better options. more

I stayed at the Dar Al Kounouz some weeks ago. The rooms are nicely decorated and in general the riad is OK. However, I was not satisfied with the service I received since the staff were not friendly and they just limited to do the minimum. more

I'm a bit delayed in writing this review so unfortunately this review isn't as detailed as it deserves to be. I researched quite a bit before deciding on Dar Al Kounouz. With a fussy husband who likes his creature comforts and 4 year old twins a hotel may have been a better option, however I wanted to experience a riad.... more

Dar Al Kounouz is a little gem of a riad in the heart of the medina. My family and I had a great holiday in Marrakech in no small part due to this wonderful little riad. The staff looked after our every need and took really good care of us. There were nice little touches at the riad: refreshing mint... more

This small riad is luxurious and full of character. It has a calm and peaceful atmosphere, very welcoming after a long day in the city. It is well-located (once you've found it the first time!) and very close to the square, souks and other attractions. Breakfasts were good - pancakes, bread, orange juice and choice of hot drinks. Do eat... more

Amazing Riad. Highly recommended! We just left this Riad yesterday after spending 2 nights here as a group of 6. Had an amazing time - in the most beautiful Riad. The rooms are absolutely outstanding - very roomy, very clean and with excellent facilities. We were a bit sceptical when walking to the Riad down all the winding streets after... more
