Few of us decided to stay few extra days at Marrakech after two weeks of very busy tour around Morocco. One afternoon, we decided to take a cooking class, so the place that we stayed suggest to go to Dar Les Cigognes for cocking class Pieer the manager entertain us very well, we learned four kinds of salad, and Tagine.... Had 4 great nights here looked after by Pierre and the team. Wasn't sure what to expect but the riad experience is a real must for visitors to Marrakech. This small establishment with its courtyard and roof terrace is a great place to relax and unwind. Used the hammam and massage as well and both were great. Individual rooms, fantastic... More

Just returned from a great five day, four night stay at Dar Les Cigognes with my sister and 80 year old father. Aside from the beautiful photos online, and reviews we read here, we primarily chose this hotel because it offered the riad experience but with the drive-up accessibility we wanted/needed for our dad, an amenity not easily found in... At this beautiful boutique hotel every detail has been thought of to make your visit to Marrakech rewarding. Welcoming you to the hotel with the Moroccan customary tea and cookies, the hostess provided me with a map of the city carefully outlining all the sights that should be visited as well as giving me important travel tips. The hotel also... More

From the moment we arrived in Marrakesh we were taken back by the atmosphere. The Morccans are such welcoming people. When we arrived at Dar Les Cigognes (which means Stork) we were shocked to walk thru the door into the most beautiful place! The fountain in the middle with the rose petals, to the incredibly ornate ceilings and interior. We... More

Riads in Marrakesh are basically boutique hotels – and I really wasn't sure what to expect in terms of service and facilities, especially as we often stay at top 4-5 star hotels with big names. However, I needn't have worried. I decided to extend my stay by a night at the start of the trip and needed to check in... More

It was our tenth wedding anniversary and we were looking for a short break to relax and celebrate. After much searching, we finally settled on Marrakech and the Dar Les Cigognes and we were so glad that we did, it was absolutely perfect. It was a quick drive to the hotel from the airport and as the door opened and... More

While most global tourists often look for a trusted names or boutique luxury, Moroccan tourists still opt for the traditionalism in aesthetic and culture that the country brings. As a result, the nation is one of the only places in the world where people would rather stay in historic traditional homes that have been re-equipped to cater to foreign clientele,... More

We stayed at Dar Les Cigognes for two nights in early August and really wished we could have stayed more. On our arrival at the stunningly beautiful riad, we were greeted by Pierre and his lovely staff who couldn't have been friendlier or more enthusiastic. Our early flight had got us to the hotel at breakfast-time but our room was... More

I stayed in Dar Les Cigognes for 4 days in December 2013, and I couldn't have been more happier with my choice. Beautiful, authentic and quiet riad just 5 minutes away from all the hustle and bustle of the old city. The old city wall if just a minute away... All employees were friendly, smiling and willing to help. Breakfast... More
