Good location in the new town, close to the train station, easy to reach by feet main attractions of Marrakech, only 20-30 min walk to get to Jamal Fina square. Wonderful large entrance hall, nice place to relax with a cup of mint tea. They got 2 small outdoor pools with a fully furnished terrace nestling between old and new building... More

The location is good - 10 mins taxi from the airport and a short bus ride into the centre (No 1 is the best). There are good local restaurants/cafes so it is in a good location. We found the staff very friendly and helpful, the central lobby has free wifi (and I believe you can get it in the rooms),... More

I stayed in this hotel recently with a tour group. I don't like bad reviews but will be honest with my findings. The lobby was very nice and presentable, a small reception, with the most unfriendliest receptionist I have come across in a long time, it was like we were very unwelcome. The pool was clean, but the public areas... More

Great location, great room! Breakfast was plenty good enough (cereal, scrambled eggs, croissants). Dinner was always a bit bland and no rice / Cous Cous to bulk out the curries they served. The "gym" is very basic and totally not worth the 100dh they asked for but some lovely parks to run around. The location is 30dh (10minute) taxi drive... More

On initial arrival the hotel looks quite grand with large marble entrance hall and sofa seating area. There is no central heating and we went on Feb and rooms were very cold. However food is filling and healthy and hotel is very centrally located which saves money on taxi fares. All in all a good budget hotel - you get... More

Some of the comments about the staff at Hotel Meriem are true, but if you smile and engage with manners then you can break through. A word of warning, no central heating and floors are tiled so rooms can be cold in winter, slippers or warm socks are a must. The food was more than adequate, drinks cost extra, beware... More

Booked this hotel expecting good standard of service. But very disappointed with staff and how they treat people who do not speak French or Arabic- they just seem rude. The breakfast was not nice...tasted stale...nothing special. The price for additional food or drink was totally unexceptable ie very high. I personal hate the 6am to 10am breakfast buffet as I... Location is quite central. Very close to center. Jamea el fena only a 1 eur taxi away. Lot of restaurants around the hotel and staff were extremely helpful. Hotel is excellent choice if u will not stay in a riad (my favorite)
