I cannot speak highly enough of Riad Kniza, and of Kamal, the manager (and son of the owners). My teenaged daughter and I stayed there during her spring break in March 2008. The building is lovely, a tranquil haven from the bustle of Marrakesh's medina, furnished with comfortable sofas and lovely carpets, and decorated with beautiful tableaus of Berber jewelry... More

Marrakech can be daunting but from the moment we arrived at Riad Kniza, my wife and I knew everything was under control. This traditional riad, worthy of a 5 -star rating for its service and attitude alone, is a peaceful haven that belies the vibrant old medina outside its front door. Perfectly situated near Bab Doukala gate, it makes for... More

We recently spent nine days in Marrakech at the Riad Kniza. To say it was a fabulous experience is an understatement. The setting is pure enchantment with a beautiful tiled courtyard surrounded by rooms furnished with museum-quality antiques. The ambiance is intimate and welcoming, and the staff, the friendliest imaginable. The cuisine is out of this world, and on warm... More

From being met at the airport to our return to the same airport this Riad really understands the meaning of hospitality and service. The rooms are spacious and have some antiques in them to enjoy. I was particularly enchanted by the spreading of rose petals on the bed and in the bathroom during our stay. Breakfast can be taken in... More

We spent four nights at Riad Kniza and on a scale of 1 to 5 it is a 6. The rooms are huge with fireplaces (the staff makes the fire for you), traditional art and decor, and hi-speed internet access. There is a charming rooftop with views to the Koutoubia Mosque; meals can be taken here. There are also two... More

The hype is completely jsutified! This is an excellent place to stay in Marrakesh; conveniently located in the Medina, with wonderful spacious rooms, lovely decoration and above all wonderful staff. It is the latter that makes this place a cut above the rest. The staff and the owners seem to anticiapte all guests needs and they are there to provide... More

In just one word - "fantastic" We stayed in two different rooms over a period of three nights. It's a very tranquil place with the loveliest service you can imagine. After a hectic day in the bustling Sauk it’s like heaven coming back to a quiet place with excellent food and cool drinks. If we ever go back to Marrakech... More

My wife and I returned from our five night stay at Riad Kniza yesterday, and as with previous reviews we cannot rate the property and service highly enough. What a lovely tranquil setting away from the hubub of the Marrakech streets, where absolutely nothing is too much trouble for the staff. It was my wife's birthday during our stay and... More

Our trip to Marrakech started in the worse possible way, my luggage lost by the airline and a riad that was far below our expectation, needless to say that was not Riad Kniza. The Kniza experience was altogether different, starting with the mobile telephone call enquiring about room availability, right through the movement of our luggage (singular), to the incredible... We have just returned from Riad Kniza. What a place! From the moment you are collected at the airport you are spoiled! The riad is in the medina so excellent for sightseeing. You have to watch out for scooters and donkey carts when walking around the medina though. At the riad, nothing is too much trouble. We were extremely well... More
