My husband and I stayed in La Sultana for 4 days having stayed at the Kasbah Tamadot in the Atlas mountains for the first part of our trip. Unfortunatly for La Sultana, I doubt any hotel could easily follow Tamadot... that said for the prices they charged the hotel was just not up to scratch. First the good stuff... The... more

A magical hotel, with lush decor exquisitely attentive to the finest detail ... a feast for the eyes. This hotel and riad right in the Medina of Marrakech is one of the most stunningly beautiful to behold, with an outstanding staff. The spa was outstanding, as was the staff and hammam. Probably the most romantic hotel in all of Morocco. more

We didn't stay in the hotel but booked a spa there as we thought it looked lovely from the pictures eve though it was "5 star" and therefore expensive. We were rushed in by spa staff stomping around looking grumpy, not given a towel and left in the jacuzzi which was to cold to stay in for more than 2... more

We booked La Sultana because of the reviews on Trip Advisor, this was supposed to be a deluxe hotel. The architecture, furniture, artwork etc were truely amazing and staff were very friendly. However, when we checked in to our Junior Suite it was just a regular room, the hotel literature stated every room has a CD/DVD player, nowhere to be... more

This was the first place we stayed in Marrakech & by far the best. The pool is a delight & the staff could not do enough... Very friendly & highly professional. Beautiful staff & a lovely atmosphere. This was a perfect sanctuary for us to acclimatise to Morocco. Highly recommended! more

We spent four full days at the Sultana. Absolutely amazing! The location, the personalized welcome, the rich furnitures, the atmosphere, the spa facilities, the rooms and the kindness of the staff is really something that we will hardly forget. more

This small hip hotel is delightfully located in the heart of Marrakesh, with a roof garden offering a bird's eye view of the streets below. It exudes luxury and comfort with a quirky mix of traditional and modern stone, wood, water and greenery. I had the sense that someone with a sense of humour had been let loose in the... more

First of all I loved the decoration and we saw many hotels (best ones) and I can say that Sultana was the best if you really want to experience a riad of Marrakesh. Before we went, I was not so sure if we had made the right decision because of some negative reviews here but now I can't understand why... more

On our visit to Marrakesh, myself and friends wanted to go to a spa to have a traditional hammam. Le Bains De Marrakesh was full which was our preferred choice so our manager at the riad contacted the Sultana hotel to see if they had availablility. They did and we went along. The hammam was okay - the room was... more

A wonderful place. A lovely roof terrace, an outstanding restaurant and all beautiful beyond belief. Service was fabulous and spa treatments were exceptional. The only improvements I would suggest is to allow guests to use the hammams etc for free, without requiring a spa treatment first. The website implies that you can use these facilities without a treament...this is incorrect. more
