As has been previously documented it was Omar and Medhil who make this Riad so special, when you are walking to the accommodation you think you will never feel safe due to it being down a side street but after the first night we never ever felt threatened, people don't bother you.The Riad is lovely and clean and the breakfasts are different... We loved our stay at the riad casa sophia with Omar and Medhi! After browsing on tripadvisor and other hotel booking websites, we picked this one as it seemed to be the best value for the price (well located close to the medina, extremely affordable, and clean!) And we're really glad we picked it because Omar and Medhi were the... More

Omar was an exceptional host. A minor inconvenience was that the wifi was sporadic in the bedrooms. Very Central location. We were very comfortable, breakfast was lovely, freshly squeezed juice and bread baked dailyWe will be back!

This is a tiny property with only 5 rooms and very close to the Djema el Fna, a typical riad (house) in Marocco with courtyard at the centre which is used as breakfast and reading/tv area. Rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd levels. There is terrace/sitting place on the roof. The courtyard and the upstairs terrace make all rooms... More

The riad is quite nice, but it was kind of difficult to find in the maze of medina. It is in fact very close to Djemaa El-Fna place. The breakfast is a little poor by European standards, but this is true for all riads. The stairs are very narrow and there is no elevator, but again, this is a riad... More

The riad is exceptional in location, atmosphere, rooms and service. The family owned riad are wonderful, warm and generous, helpful and informative .They waited up when my flight was delayed and when also after a sojourn to the desert was delayed due to mechanical problems.Casa Sophia deserves its plaudits and I hope to visit there again.A fantastic experience !

We decided on staying at this riad based on the excellent reviews on Tripadvisor. And we can only confirm what's been said here. Riad Casa Sophia is an excellent choice. It is VERY easy to find. From Djemaa el Fna take the Riad Zitoun Lakdim street and from there the second alley on the right. At the end of this... More

A lovely little hotel. Clean, charming, & friendly helpful people. Only drawback is that it's somewhat hard to find, tucked away at the end of a little alley, off a slightly bigger alley. But very close to the main square, & an altogether excellent location. Once one gets passed the nervousness which one experiences in the arrival proceedings, especially if... More

This was my second stay in Marrakech; the first time, I visited this city in 2010 and stayed both in a hotel and in a Riad. This time, I stayed at Riad Casa Sophia for a week over New Year's Eve 2012 with a group of friends. We had a blast. The Riad is located just a few walking minutes... More
