A truly wonderful gem that's hidden yet within walking distance to all notable attractions including, the square, the palace, the jewish quarters etc. The central car park makes it easy to set meeting points for cabbies and planned tours. The Riad was empty because we went during Ramadan which was also the hottest season in Marrakech, so we had the... More

We stayed here for 6 nights.we arrived 9 in the evening and was met by Walter ( the owner), and had a 5 minute walk to the Riad from the Palace Bahia. The Riad is a lovely traditional place to stay, it's very clean and the owners and the staff go out of there way to make your stay a... More

We had a wonderful 6 night break in Marrakech at the end of February and chose this riad because of the excellent reviews - and yes it was great. A warm welcome from Walter and Fatima - with the lovely Brahim in the background to take over when English required (my husband). It is a simple but beautifully furnished riad... More

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location seemed a bit dodgy at first due to it being down a series of back streets but after walking it a few times we realised it was ok. Walter was a great host to deal with and also met us from the taxi. He gave us a great welcome at the Riad... More

Stayed here for 8 days. Beautifully decorated and so peaceful within the courtyard. The Riad was clean and tidy and the staff were fantastic. So polite and accommodating - Walter, his wife Fatima and Brahim. It was a sanctuary to relax after a hectic day out on the Marrakech streets and sit out on the rooftop terrace. We had a... More

The Riad is on a quiet little street yet still close to the central square that you are close to all the hustle and bustle of the city life. Our room was lovely and clean and decorated in traditional Moroccan style. All of the staff were very accomodating and there was nothing that wasn't too much trouble for them. The... More

We looked at 15 or so Riads in Marrakech medina and Swaka was by far the most beautifully renovated. Rooms are larger than most Riads and are comfortably furnished with lovely decor. All have been recently restored. Area is super quiet (no motorbikes!). Fatima and Walter are a friendly couple who treat staff and guests like family. Charming stay

Walter and Fatty, as well as their staff, showed us a great Moroccan welcome from the moment we entered their peaceful Riad. Always willing to answer all of our needs, they even took from their personal time to bring us shopping for mosaic tables which are manufactured on the outskirts of the city. Great times, great people, an easy choice!
