Wow! An oasis of calm away from the hubbub of the souks and busy Marrakech streets. Gilles and Dominique are the perfect hosts, providing tea and nibbles like magic, offering advice yet are discrete when you want peace and quiet. Our room was comfortable and such good value for money. The riad itself is in a brilliant spot for exploring,... More

Just returned from a wonderful four days in Marrakech staying with Gilles and Dominique. I have travelled to many glossy parts of the world and was a bit worried about the reviews of Marrakech, the beggars, the hawkers, etc. well let me put your mind at rest. Yes you get bothered about every 10 minutes whilst walking around, but a... More

The Bad: We're extremely disappointed by the scores of positive reviews; we had a very bad experience. The Riad is down a dead end alley, very scary to walk down the small dark alley looking lost, it attracts many guys wanting to help with directions in return for payment. We explicitly asked Gilles in advance for one large bed, but... More

We have just returned from 3 nights at Abaca Badra, and already want to go back! Everything about the Riad is fantastic! Gilles and Dominique are wonderful hosts, very welcoming and hospitable. The food is excellent, and the bed comfy! I would highly recommend this riad!

We have just returned from our second trip to Marrakech, the first time was to explore the city, the second trip was to return to Riad Abaca Badra. The friendly ambiance, magnificent food and wonderful building make it a destination in its own right. Although located amid the hustle and bustle of the Souks it is an oasis of peace... More

This is a great Riad. Gilles & Dominique are excellent hosts. They do whatever they can to make your stay excellent and are always on hand to give you advice. Breakfast gave us a great start to the day, but make sure that you also have dinner at the Riad during your stay as it was delicious and very reasonable.... More

Took my husband for 4 days as a surprise for his birthday- Gilles/Dominique arranged transfers to the door, fab room (Essouiri) on the first floor with lovely ensuite, a most comfortable bed and so so peaceful. Mint tea and wonderful biscuits (made by Samia) whenever. Evening meals with wine -exquisite flavours especially the aubergine salad. Suntrap on rooftop terrace -especially... More

Me and my partner visited Marrakech for four days and stayed at raid abaca badra. First of all when we booked our stay we were offered the option of our taxi being arranged to collect us and take us to the riad for 15€ so when we arrived at the airport we were picked up and brought to the riad... What an amazing stay! I am sure we will be back soon, after 4 days we feel so relaxed. We received the warmest of welcomes from the very friendly owners and staff at the Riad. The food is amazing, and the portions are huge! The riad is clean, comfortable, friendly and peaceful. The beds are comfortable, the en-suit shower room... More

This place is offers excellent accommodation and service. The owners are a laid back but lovely French couple Gilles and Dominique, and we appreciated all the efforts that they made to make our stay memorable. On arrival we were offered a drink and a briefing about the do’s and don’ts of Marrakech .The riad itself is on several floors with... More
