I staid in February for 4 nights with a friend of mine in the Riad Dar Akal. My friend and I can highly recommend this Riad. The Manager "Said" of the Riad is very helpful and sympatic and he does an amazing outstanding job so that every individual guest feels more than comfortable. Thank you very much, you couldn't provide... More

The Dar Akal is a fabulous place to stay. A spotlessly clean, beautiful place in the middle of a very interesting chaotic city. If you want to stay in and experience the old town this is the place to stay. The host Siad is always around and extremely helpful. He draws you maps and escorts you to places the first... More

I am just back from 5 nights at Dar Akal and could not fault it. Its beautiful rooms and roof terrace are such a welcome sight after the hectic pace outside. Its a really calm relaxing base and the food is really lovely here---make sure you eat in a few times. Massages and hamann available at the riad saving you... More

The Dar Akal is a very quiet, spotlessly clean guesthouse in the middle of the medina. Once you have entered the guesthouse you feel very much at home and comfortable. Said, who is present most of the time, is very helpful in arranging all sorts of things and making the stay as good as possible. The roof terrace is charming.... More

What a warm and welcoming place Dar Akal is, and what a beautiful place from which to explore this fascinating and chaotic city! We highly recommend it and can't say enough about host Said, who made every aspect of our stay memorable. If you arrive in Marrakesh medina by taxi or car and figure you'll be able to find your... My friends and I have just got back from a whole week in the beautiful two-bedroom suite at Dar Akal, and could not have had a better base from which to enjoy our first visit to Marrakech. The suite itself was beautiful, clean and comfortable, the whole riad was delightful and the staff went out of their way to be... More

Dar Akal is a very lovely Riad. We liked everything: the cleanliness, the beauty and the tranquility. But the most important aspect that I would like to emphasize is the warm welcome we received! Said is the best host ever. He's always helpful and with his advices you can't get lost even in the Medina's alleys.

I recently returned from a three night stay at Dar Akal, my second visit to the riad. The service and hospitality was again second to none and I was also very lucky with the weather. I was able to have breakfast on the roof terrace each day in the sunshine, and some lovely lunches there too. Thanks again to Said,... More
