Dar Akal is a fantastic place to stay, a true haven of peace and tranquillity in the midst of chaotic Marrakech. The Riad is simple but elegant and beautifully decorated, with great attention to detail and the rooms are gorgeous, comfortable and clean. The breakfast is great and we enjoyed the dinners, excellent food and service. Said is absolutely the... More

My elderly Mother and I stayed in the suite for three nights. Unfortunately she was not well when we arrived but Said was absolutely wonderful and very supportive over the whole of our stay, going out of his way to make us comfortable under the difficult circumstances. The suite was beautiful, the food was lovely and the breakfasts excellent but... More

Dar Akal was the perfect riad for our group of 8 friends (4 couples) while we were in Marrakech for 2 nights. They picked us up from the airport and helped transport our luggage as well as walked us through all the alleyways in the Medina to the Riad. This part was extremely helpful as there was no way we... Dar akal is an oasis of calm in the madness of Marrakech, Siad is a wonderful host and will help you with any questions you have. Had a wonderful stay with a group of friends, nothing is too much trouble for Siad and the ladies that work here. The food is excellent, as is the local wine.

Everything was perfect in this Riad. As quiet as noisy can be the Medina. Perfectly clean. The breakfast was very good. The hammam and massage has to be tried. And Said is the best host you can hope in a hotel, Riad, etc. We had a really good time.

We stayed here with our two young children in the suite (douiria) which was simply stunning. The host and staff are incredibly friendly and great with the kids. Breakfast on the roof top terrace was great and we also stayed in for lunch one day which was really tasty and good value. The riad is well located for all the... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in Spring and absolutely loved it. Riad is very clean and was realy tastefully decorated, I loved interior design here. Dar Akal has a great rooftop terrace with several places to sit and a small plunge pool to cool down. It's very close to the main souks and it only took us 10 -... More

Just arrived at the Riad Dar Akal in Marrakesh! Wow, what an awesome place to stay. Located at the old Medina, this is an oasis of tranquility and enjoyment. Beautifully decorated, peaceful colours and authentic Arab architecture. All covered in modern comfort. Wifi! Family friendly, several inside lounging areas and terraces and pool on the outside roof terrace. Said is... More

Careful planning and experience led us to our choice of hotel in Marrakech, but good luck played its part too. Dar Akal has an almost elusive, quietly special something that doesn’t always come across in advertising. It is over the line and into the territory occupied by very few small hotels that are not expensive - here you get exceptional... More

Recently stayed at Dar Akal with family and friends. From the moment I walked in from the noise and chaos of the souks, I was in another world. It is so peaceful and relaxing. The 5 rooms are modern and quite nice. They have all of the amenities like air conditioning. We relaxed at the pool and by the fountain... More
