The Meryem is a modern(ish) hotel in the modern part of Marrakech and is a 15 to 20 minutes walk from the heart of the city. Our room was cleaned daily and towels were replaced whenever they had been used. Though the room was advertised as with mini bar, this turned out to be a small fridge which was empty... More

Don't be put off by a couple of negative review(s) - it's a little gem of a place if you're looking to get close to the local culture. If that sounds like what you are looking for then read on... It won't suit you if you want a little piece of England with added sunshine; for this, try looking for... More

We stayed here for a 4 night stay in early November. As previous posts have mentioned the Riad is difficult to find so that is why we arranged an airport transfer with the owners. On arrival at the airport we could not find our name so had to call the hotel and they arranged for us to be picked up.... More

Awful little b&b stuck in a back alley of the slums of Marrakech . Owners and staff only speak French or Arabic - no English ( surprising considering they are in the tourism business ). Breakfast was laughable with awful tasteless pancakes ( like rubber ), with a miserly pot of jam and laughing cow triangles ( don't know what... More

If you want awful food , damp rooms, dodgy electrics hanging off the walls , exposed electric wires and rooms that you can't lock and no safe place for valuables book this place! Absolutely the worst experience. This place is right in the middle of a really dodgy area of Marrakech. Got hassled every time that we stepped out the... More

This is a very beautiful little Riad in the Medina of Marrakech. It is very much like a bed and breakfast with very beautiful Moroccan deco. We stayed 6 nights and were very happy with the service and the welcome reception. They serve good breakfasts and on our final night we opted to eat a home cooked meal that was... More

First of all I would recommend to make an arrangement with the Riad to get collected from somewhere as it is pretty difficult to find. We arrived at midnight and fortunately we booked an airport transfer so we were pretty relaxed as we saw our name on a sign of a driver. As we approached the Medina it was obvious... More

Really lovely place to stay - well located within the medina but not easy to find. Suggest you make arrangements to be met - phone ahead! However once you know where it is, there is no problem. We had breakfast in the beautiful courtyard one morning and upon the roof top terrace another. Both were super, but best of all... More

Our first time to Morocco, so a little nervous but Abdul (the owner) and his wife, were so, so helpful and friendly. Abdul walked us to the SOuks on the first day. Always helped us with a smile on his face - even when serving breakfast! The roof terrace is really nice to go up to during sunset and listen... More

What an amazing place, it is out of the way and my girl friend and I found it hard to find nearly every time but with some patience and asking others along the way (tip, only ask the women, not the men, the men expect money the women are open to help) we found our way to and from the... More
