Stepping into the spacious, shady pool area of the Tichka Salam is such a surprise as a relief from the heat and action of the city centre. It is a 10-15 minute taxi ride from the Djemaa el Fna but easy to accomplish at about 30-50 dirham. The rooms are good with very comfortable beds. There is a choice of... more

As reported before, this is a lovely hotel with very attentive staff. It is too far to walk into the old part of town but there are taxis around all the time- bargain though! Near the hotel are small shops , cafes and internet shop. The hotel had internet but it was very expensive- almost £5 for an hour!! but... more

My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel for a short romantic getaway in Februrary. The weather is not scorching hot this time of year but it was perfect for us. The hotel is very clean and the staff really cannot do enough to help out. We never felt pressured for tips as is the case in much of the... more

What a fab hotel, staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, the hotel was kept spotlessly clean, the pool was fantastic!! a couple of minor criticisms, the drinks were very expensive, about £7.00 for a pint of local beer, and the air conditioning was in-effective, we were there in June, it was 130 degrees F and pretty un-bearable!! apart from those... more

Just back from this wonderful hotel after four days lazing by the lovely pool in the very peaceful gardens and hitting the madness of the Medina in the evenings. The hotel rooms are spacious, clean, well equipped and quiet (ours overlooked the pool). The staff are so helpful, cheerful and polite (especially the woman who was on reception every morning... more

Expected a lot from this hotel, given the good reviews. It lived up to it! The staff were very friendly, which I guess is one of the things that makes this place so popular. They always had time to give advice, and to help out where necessary. Our room was airconditioned, with a large flat screen TV, and in a... more

Have just returned from two weeks in Marrakech staying at the Tichka Salem. We are a family of five; three daughters aged 10 to 16. Had a great time. The hotel was lovely, real Marrocan feel, service OK, the breakfast staff were brilliant (Abdil Jalil was amazing). Reception satisfactory. Had a real hassle which dragged on for days about paying... more

Just back from a week in Marrakech. Airport::: Absolute crap, never been to such a disorganized airport. 1-2 hours getting through passport control. Transfer::: Spot on, we had booked a private taxi through Travel Republic (not cheap) he was there waiting and took us straight to our hotel in 15 minutes. Hotel:::First impressions, posh, tidy, very polite staff. Very quick... more

Over the last few years I stayed several times at this hotel. The location is in a quiet street without traffic, although outside the medina. The lush gardens makes this hotel an oasis. The rooms are luxurious, nicely furnished. The restaurant setting (see photo) alongside the pool is very romantic. Although we never at dinner at the hotel. Breakfast buffet... more

We stayed here for one night at the end of our trip to Morocco. The hotel receptionist went out of her way to let us into our room very early (9am!). When we got to our room were were impressed to find a large, spacious room which was very stylishly furnished. The room had a large kingsize bed with crisp,... more
