We were collected from the airport by one of the Villa's cars, which is just as well because it would have been difficult to find the entrance, between car repair and tyre shops on a side street 5 or 6 minutes walk from the Jemaa el Fna square. Once through the entrance you are into a genuine oasis of calm,... More

Like many buildings in Morocco, the outside is nothing but the inside magnificent. Des Orangers is on a busy street next to a small shop selling tires. And unless you spot the small sign, you could walk right by the front door and totally miss it. BUT, once inside you find an absolute gem of a place. The staff at... More

We recently spent four nights at this hotel and it was a wonderful experience. As we pullled up and saw the stack of tires next to the entrance(from the auto store next door) we wondered what we had reserved, but what a surprise. Walk though those doors and you are in a different world. Beautiful, quiet , gorgeous decoration and... More

This intimate hotel on the edge of the medina offers an oasis of tranquility and personal service. Don't be fooled by the modest street entrance, which is very low key- often the case in old towns. It unfolds beautifully as you move inward. Roses float in fountains, footfalls softened by local tribal rugs. The ambience is lush but local- my... More

We have just stayed here for 4 nights and can't fault it. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is great. Recommend you try the traditional hammam and spa treatments. The star of the show is the hotel itself - beautiful rooms and courtyard spaces with lovely Moroccan architecture. There are 2 pools, one downstairs and one on the... More

We did not stay here but went for drinks and dinner. Passing through the tiny doors you are transported to an Oasis of calm. Water, orange trees, courtyards sheer delight. The food was of a very high quality as was the service. We certainly will go back

Romantic, wonderful buildings, big rooms and all mod cons. Not for those who struggle with mobility though. Very romantic - ask for the wonderful private dining space. All rooms are different and some 2 storey. The top suites have private roof terraces.

We had our wedding in Marrakech and our families stayed at this beautiful hotel for an entire week. Every detail was taken care of. The service was beyond impeccable, and the decor is a perfect mix of modern comfort and traditional Moroccan elegance. Every meal we had was delectable, even better than the outside restaurants! I also visited the hamam... More

Villa des Orangers is INCREDIBLE. I spent months and months researching all the different riad and hotel options in Marrakech - I was driving my husband crazy. I looked at everything: Travel & Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Tablet, HG2 Guides, Wallpaper Guides, you name it. All I can say is we definitely made the right choice.... More

What a lovely experience at this property. The room (#7) had its own roof terrace. Beautiful ambience. OK, some of the lights weren't working and the aircon wouldn't reverse (it was chilly at night in April) but management sorted these out and delivered light bulbs and a heater. No big hassle at all. Honestly wifi was patchy, maybe a problem... More
