OK ,this aint no fancy place, but for the money it wasnt half bad. The water was hot and the bed comfortable and even though it is shabby it was convenient to everything of interest and not like a lot of the tourist hotels which seem to be on the outskirts of the city. I agree with a previous reviewer go... more

Excellent accommodation for the budget conscious traveler. I stayed at the Hotel Ali for 5 nights. It is not 5 star but you are not paying 5 star prices so anyone who complains you are in the wrong hotel! The breakfast was great - freshly made omelets and crepes with orange juice and baked rolls with butter and apricot jam.... more

I lasted about three hours in the Hotel Ali, and most of that was spent locating alternative accommodation and forfeiting two days of prepaid accommodation at the Hotel Ali. Yes, the hotel's position in the Medina is excellent, however...it is dark and dingy, parts of it are under 'reconstruction', including the kitchen/restaurent so there's lots of construction noise, the room... more

You must fight to get a good room, the place look quite unsafe but it is OK , from my Spanish point of view the food is not good at all and don't worth yo pay for the half board , the breakfast is OK. The Ali is a cheap option to be in the midle of the action. more

Overall decent. The rooms were just okay: unfortunately, the air conditioning got turned off daily during the afternoons (i.e. The hottest time of the day!). Gorgeous roof terrace with unbeatable views of Djemaa al-Fna. Also fantastic breakfast (coffee, crepes and fresh omelettes). Great value. more

Lovely 'all you can eat' meals there, pretty basic rooms, but some have good views of the square and the mosque. more

Rang the Hotel Ali from UK and booked a room. On arrival checked in without problem. I had room 301 which was on the roof terrace, very handy for the view over the square and for the excellent "all you can eat " dinner buffet. The Ali is a hive of activity with people coming and going, changing money, arranging... more

My daughter and I stayed here during a 6 week holiday in Morocco. We noted the Ali in Lonely Planet and figured that if it was too bad we could always leave. Well, we were so pleasantly surprised by the terrific location, friendly reception from the staff, complimentary breakfast and abundance of hot water that we decided to stay longer.... more
