There is no way this is a five star hotel. Someone is definitely getting bribed to keep that status. Old rooms, old TVs, used up Remote controls, old beds. Frogs at night won’t let you sleep. The entrance to the Hotel is really impressive and the feeling of granduer and opulence is great. However, this is really spoilt by the 'very tired' state of the bedrooms and bathrooms. The hotel and its grounds are beautiful and we were very impressed with the standard of our room but thats where it ends. Service in the hotel restaurants and breakfast was slow, we werent part of the particular conference on that week so were virtual second class citizens. I stayed here with a large group for a business meeting. The gardens were pretty, but food and accomodation very average.
