Took the cooking class at Waka Waka with Hajar today, and it was a great experience! I learned to cook the dish of my choice, Tanjia (my favourite) and it was the best I had tasted whilst here in Marrakech. We bought all the ingredients that morning, and Hajar was kind enough to write me down the recipe and instructions... More

I would recommend this hostel, yet only for people who can handle it a bit rough. The bathrooms aren't the most glamorous but I've definitely seen worse. The staff are very relaxed and helpful when it's necessary, the breakfast was excellent too! The rooms were clean with plenty of space and the hostel had a very enjoyable vibe, I ha... More

We met two girls who were staying here (we stayed at riad mama marrakech) who invited us to a big dinner that wake waka were throwing on the date of Eid (Muslim festival of sacrifice) we weren't guests but they were happy to let us join in with the feast, and made an effort to make us feel welcome. I had a really great time at Waka Waka, the staff were really friendly and helpful. They were able to book taxis for us and organise a minibus to Essaouira. They also provide a really good breakfast included in the (very low) price. I would say this is a hostel for young people looking to make friends and explore Marrakech.... More

This hostel is nicely tucked away from the chaos of Marrakesh in the backstreets of the Medina, and is only 2 minutes walk from the Jemma el-Fna...once you know the way it's really easy to find. The guys from the hostel are so so lovely and really make you feel at home, they collected us from the taxi up the... More

We are students staying in marrakech for two weeks and spent three nights in this hostel, despite seeing one cockroach in the downstairs bathroom, there was nothing else I complain about. The service there was delightful, as was the breakfast, we felt welcome the whole time in the relaxed environment. We sat and had shisha one night and invited our... More

It's hard to rate this hostel as it was the perfect place except for bed bugs. We only discovered them 3 days into our 5 day stay when the bites appeared. It made it difficult to sleep for the last 2 nights. Having had bed bugs before I recognised the signs but of course it was too late. When I... More

This is a very nice hostel and it's great value for money. The location is brilliant, very central. We only stayed for a day and 2 nights, but i think that was enough for us, we had a great time and saw a lot! The staff were really nice, and there was a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The rooms and... More
