We are so happy to have found Riad Layla Rouge! We accidentally stumbled upon it while lost and decided to check it out. Everyone here is so friendly, the hotel is beautiful, and the view from the roof is the best in all of Marrakech. The breakfast is delicious, and the staff are incredibly helpful with everything ranging from suggestions... More

This is my return visit to Riad Layla Rouge so I can confidently share this review with complete honesty and integrity. The first people I meet staying here also are on their return visit which speaks many words. The atmosphere we look for as a traveller is a sense of home and comfort in a new environment and that is... More

I've been traveling the world for a while now so I can say with total confidence that this is the best hostel in Morocco. They treat you like family and are so nice. Mourad is the absolute coolest and goes the extra mile every day. The breakfast is top notch - an amazing spread of delicious food, tea, and coffee.... More

Spent 3 nights at Layla Rouge. The hostel is cozy, clean, and located nearby the famous square. The breakfast was excellent and staff was very welcoming and helpfull. Also includes a very nice terrace at rooftop. Best hostel on my trip.

Having booked Morocco with no real prior inclination to go, I was not at all sure what to expect. Location was excellent, so close to the main square and the interior decor was lovely. The staff were outstanding - genuinely friendly, they would give directions, advice, recommendations and were willing to go above and beyond the "standard" in order to... More

Everything you need in a hostel. We had a private double room which was great. Big bed, sofas, blankets ( it got a little cold a night). Only slight downside was that some of the lights didn't work so the room was a little dark as there are no windows, and there aren't any doors on the toilet or shower... More

Friendly and helpful staff with above average English skills. Sunny roof terrace with beautiful view over the city. Centrally located close to Djema El-Fnaa. Only negative things were the lack of a door for the toilet and signs of fungus in the ceiling since the air in the room was a bit moist

I was very disappointed by this riad after all of the good reviews. I had higher expectations. This has potential but is very poorly run and the people running it have no idea what they are doing. There were two young guys working there. One tried hard to be helpful, Hassan, and even though he didn't know the answer to... More

5 min walking to get from Riad to Jamea el Fena. Hassan is a friendly host and tries to answer all your questions and gives good advice on excursions. Bad: No window in room, no carpets on cold floor in the winter. Good: Early breakfast, friendly atmosphere, large room with bathroom (oddly enough, there weren't any doors for the bathroom... More
