I stayed for 5 nights in Riad Shaloma. Getting there the first night was definitely a challenge because it is off the main street down some windy narrow well-lit alley but we somehow made it. We were welcomed with some amazing mint tea that we ordered every night thereafter. The riad and room were beautiful although the bed was a... More

From pickup to set down Abdul couldn't have done more for us. On arrival we had mint tea despite it being 12.30 in the morning and were shown to our lovely rooms. Each room was perfect for our stay, lovely bathroom and very comfy bed. Unfortunately we picked the wrong week for weather, which meant it was a bit chilly,... More

From Très Chic to shabby chic and yes, just downright shabby - Marrakech has it all. A short visit is enough to give you the taste of Morocco as it was, and as it now is, depending on what part of the city you choose to stay in. Being fearless travellers we chose Riad Shaloma, perfectly situated within the Medina... More

We stayed at Riad Shaloma for 5 nights in January 2015. The Riad is in the Berrima area, a relatively non-touristy area of the Medina. It is a easy, and short walk, to the main square - Jemaa El-Fna - however. The bedroom was clean, spacious and comfortable, and when we asked for a hairdryer and an extra blanket (night... More

Riad Shaloma is a true gem in Marrakech. Tucked away in a residential area it is a welcome haven from the hustle and bustle of the main city. We went for the half board option and the good was amazing, over the course of the week they managed to devise a different meal each night. There is nothing that is... More

This is a great Riad as long as you’re not alone. I don’t think I could recommend it to any female travelling solo unless she was very confident as it is situated down quite a few alley ways which aren’t very well lit. It’s in a residential area and there are always people milling around which can be a bit... More

A group of 7 of us stayed at Riad Shaloma for 4 nights and have to say we really enjoyed our stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful, came to meet us from where we were dropped off (Riad's are all located down narrow lanes) by the taxi they sent to pick us up from the airport, made us... We stayed at Riad Shaloma for 4 nights. Before arriving we emailed them to ask if they could arrange airport transfer and they did, Adbul (the owner) met the taxi at the main road, carried our cases and showed us the best way to remember how to get to the Riad - this is a must as it is in... More

Absolutely loved riad shaloma. Cheaper to book airport transfer with them as well. They charged 100DH while the airport taxi charged us 200DH Coupled with the fact that they'll carry your luggage through the narrow bendy roads that lead to the riad! The manager and staff Najeeb,Chafik,Abdul were all attentive to our every need and were very approachable. Nothing was... More
