I booked Douiria Hadia Kenaria Medina through Booking.com. The confirmation only listed the medina (section of town) where the riad (homestay) was located, with no actual address. Our taxi driver took us to a Kennaria Medina sign and we walked to the only riad we could find (Riad Atlas), with no addresses on the buildings or Booking.com confirmation it was... More

Helas, at Riad Atlas things went wrong. Our chosen and reserved Riad was full, so we had to move to another Riad. Yes, they were at the airport (we asked several times), but no reservation for the Supratoursbus (Europe and Africa are different ;-) Marrakech is a beautifull town, and a perfect hub for Essaouira, but finding the right Riad... Do not trust this Riad. Watch out in busy times like christmas to book at this Riad which has only 6 rooms. They probably tell you it's ok and then try to put you in an lesser Riad and earn the same money. I booked a month before departure with booking.com, got a confirmation from the Riad, very personal with... More

We booked our 5 nights accommodation at Riad Atlas more than six weeks prior to our holiday through a reputable booking website which we have used frequently, and received confirmation of the booking along with an email offering to book airport transfers and tours. The booking confirmation stated that if we cancelled less than 15 days prior to our visit,... More

I did not stay at the Atlas Riad, so this is just half a review. The day before our arrival they told us they had overbooked and would move us to another, same-level riad, with a discount to apologize for the inconvenience. We asked them to tell us what riad they would move us to, and when they told us,... More

On the plus side: + friendly staff, gave us a warm welcome with tea and when asked for "favours" (cleaning of the sheets or discount etc (see reason below), the staff always said yes + good breakfast + good location, close to the marketsquare (although a bit hard to find at first) On the negative side: - Badly managed. We... More

Sadly, I cannot give a review on our stay at the Atlas Riad booked 3 months ago for our party of four, as we were refused our well researched accommodation, and re-directed on arrival to a less desirable alternative. The young staff that greeted us were most pleasant, but unfortunately had no decision making capacity, quoting that rooms were "overbooked",... More

We booked our accommodation with Riad Atlas three months before our visit. We were in email contact with the owner a week before we arrived. All seemed well. When we arrived in Marrakech we were met by the Riad staff and taken to an unmarked house and told "Welcome to your Riad". This was NOT the Riad that we had... More

We booked (through a major booking company) three specific rooms in this hotel back in September for a December trip. We were in email contact with the hotel and arranged for an airport pickup. We were collected and walked through the medina down a dark alley and taken into a Riad. I said it was not our hotel, it did... More

We were expected much more based on reviews, but there is plenty of space for improvement. What we really didn't like is that there was no one at the reception when leaving in the morning or coming back in the evening.... So even if we wanted a bit earlier breakfast there was no one whom we could ask, therefore we... More
