First time in Morocco so it was pot luck when booking but we struck lucky. The riad is small just 4 bedrooms but this means it does not get noisy - three bedrooms face into the internal courtyard and one has a window onto the street. I was only woken once during the whole week by the muezzin at the... More

I was in few Medinas in Marrocos and the Riad Ida Ou Balou has the best one in my opinion. The bedroom was quite good with a shower and air condition. The breakfast was good and they offer mint tea in the arrive.

We were a group of 6 and we booked 3 of the riad's rooms: 2 twins and 1 double. each room featured ac, tv and a bathroom. beds were comfortable, with fresh linen. yes, for morocco this needs to be mentioned. rooms are decorated in moroccan style and were quite spacious compared to riads in fez, however not that large... My wife and I stay at this riad every time we visit Marrakech on our to/from Casablanca visiting family. The staff are always helpful and friendly and Jean-Pierre, the owner, is a wonderful character. We are always made to feel welcome and nothing is ever too much trouble. The rooms are comfortable and clean and if you want a quick... More

Lovely riad with wonderful hosts. So helpful and nothing was too much trouble. One of our party had a birthday while we were there and they organised cake and even put up balloons. The accommodation is very comfortable and clean. Food (order in morning for evening meal) was lovely and the staff recommended some other great nearby options. The location... More

The best part of the hotel was the staff, Hisham. Very helpfull person. Breakfast is good. I don't like to eat sweet things like honey and jam at breakfast, so at least one kind of cheese can make the breakfast richer. It takes 15-20 min. walk to center, not many but some people bother and wants money during walking.

Amazingly located in the middle of bursting real city Marocan life therefore out of often fake touristic spots. In the heart of medina though quiet and home. Cheap and fresh variety of food available just at the doorstep of the Riat. Absolutely warm and friendly staff ready to help at any possibly occasion. I do love the breakfasts and evening... More

A brilliant stay in Marrakech, if your looking to stay in a Riad look no further. The place is clean, has all the facilities you would ever need and the staff are amazing. Jean-Pierre, a Frenchman is the owner and he will go out of his way to assist, Hashim( my apologies for the spelling)who works there is fantastic, helpful... More
