From the cheerful greeting of our taxi driver (arranged by Joelle, the riad's owner) to check-out, by which time we felt were saying goodbye to new-found friends, our stay at Les Orangiers D'Alilia was never less than feeling at home. Located in the walls of the kasbah, we felt as if we were in the very heart of the real... More

Last weekend I celebrated a significant bithday in Marrakech and chose to stay at this beautiful Riad situated in the kasbah area of the city. With four couples, family and friends, we enjoyed the fantastic hospitality of Joelle and her staff. Even before we arrived Joelle was extremely helpful in arranging for us to be met and booking a restaurant... More

The owner (a French lady called Joelle) had (at our request)organised a taxi from the Airport to the end of the street - from the outside it's impossible to believe what a little gem this place is. We were welcomed by the owner on our arrival and shown to our room which was charming - we were offered mint tea... More

This is a very welcoming Riad in a central position yet not in a noisy part of the city. Very helpful staff, good food and the ambiance is one of calm and quiet. The decor is light and airy with the original features of the building being used to create the effect of a traditional Marrakesh family house. We all... More

I have travelled in many parts of the world for business and leisure and seldom been made to feel so welcome. The Riad les Orangers d'Alilia is beautiful, relaxing and full of the most delicious scents of orange blossom from the trees and spices from the wonderful home cooking. The rooms are pretty and well appointed; not huge but spacious.... More

My husband and I went to Marrakech for my birthday and stayed for 6 nights in this splendid Riad. The owner, Joelle, was an absolute gem - friendly, helpful and generous, as were her staff. Tired after a long journey, Joelle greeted us with tea and pastries, a most generous welcome. She then showed us to our room and ensuite,... More

We booked this Riad because of the many splendig reviews. We want to warn travellers that this Riad is in a really remote part of the Kasbah, that took endless walking to find, a good 30 minute walk to get to Jemaa el Fna the center square . It was also hard for taxis to find, we carried a map... More

We stayed at this riad for 3 nights at the end of our trip in Morocco. This riad was about half the price of the one we stayed at in Fes but the service, food, atmosphere and decor were far superior here. Joelle, the French owner, is very friendly, charming and helpful. Even before we arrived, Joelle had been very... More

Marrakech is a bustling and crowded city and the Riad Les Orangers D'Alilia is an oasis to return to after a day out in the city. Joelle delights in taking good care of her guests and paying attention to all the little details that make a place special-like fresh roses in your room and soft music and candlelight in the... Joelle and her staff were absolutely amazing! Tehy had recommendations for places to eat and see, without being pushy. Their breakfasts were superb! They were very welcoming. The room was very romantic, although a bit lost for us as I was staying with a friend! I have already recommended the Riad to friends who are planning a trip to Marrakech.... More
