We booked this hotel with british airways. It stood out as it was a Mr&Mrs smith hotel, with good reviews on trip advisor. I was however disappointed. But lets start with the positives, The riad itself is beautiful, the central courtyard is gorgeous, it really does live up to the photos on the website. The service was good, if very... More

Dear Rebecca, I am glad that you liked the riad in itself and its decoration. As you said, the pictures on our website don't lie. That makes me even more sorry to see that you were unhappy with quite a few other things. Our breakfast includes fresh orange juice, home-made yogurt, a fresh fruits salad, some cake, pancakes and bread,... More

Had a good few days staying at this riad. Beautifully decorated, friendly and attentive staff, lovely hammam space. Most importantly the manager gave us the most invaluable resources on our first morning before going off to explore the medina - a detailed map and some firm advice...all of which we put to good use to have a safe and enjoyable... This Riad looks amazing according to TA, doesn't it? At the time of writing it had 149 Excellent, 30 Very good, 12 Average, 1 Poor and 0 Terrible reviews. Too good to be true? That's because it is. Don't get me wrong, our stay was more than OK. It's a stylish place with a lovely roof terrace spread across a... More

Dear Francis, Thank you for posting this comment. I am happy to read that you liked the place, its staff and services and deeply regret that the rest did not live up to your expectations. The owners that you met actually live in France and don't often have the oppotunity to come here, I am the one on site that... More

It was my first visit to this country and Marrakech is everything I had been promised. The Riad Anyssates is probably the best hotel I have stayed in and I travel all over the world. It is friendly, personal, very clean and beautiful. The staff pulled out all the stops for our family party and were more than helpful dealing... More

What a fantastic time we enjoyed at the Riad Anyssates. Our party had taken over the whole place to celebrate with family and friends a birthday. Nicholas provides the friendliest welcome and the staff are wonderful and do everything to ensure that you have everything you want. The breakfasts are the best and dinner delicious, all credit to the cook.... More

Hidden on a "real" neighborhood this Riad is all you could ask for in Marrakech. Rooms are fully equipped, beds are comfy, baths are spacious, nicely decorated, noise is kept to a minimum. Staff are incredibly helpful, more than the "extra mile". Breakfast is superb, dinner was amazing. Location was very convenient as we rented a car and its closeness... More

Myself and my wife have just returned from another fantastic 3 night break at the Riad Anyssates in Marrakesh. We stayed there last year and were happy to return again. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. This time we booked direct with the hotel and saved £80, more or less a night for free. Breakfast is always a... More

We spent 4 days here celebrating my husbands 50th birthday and had a fantastic time. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Nicholas recommended 2 restaurants and we enjoyed them both, Dar Zellij and Azar, probably not the cheapest options but for special occasions they were prefect with great food. The room was lovely, very comfortable bed, good shower although... More

Dear Jane, Thank you for your nice comment, I am really glad to see that your husband's 50th birthday was a success and that we could play a part in it. Also you are absolutely right in recommending a day trip to the Atlas mountains while staying in Marrakech since they are so close. I am sorry for the time... More

Marrakech is really two places - the new town based around Gueliz which is all modern shops, flats and restaurants. And old Marrakech based within the old city walls - the Medina. In my view you can't really come to somewhere as interesting as this without doing the trip properly so staying in the Medina is a must. You'd be... More

This is a gorgeous Riad to stay in and the location is excellent. We especially loved the fire in our room which was perfect for the chilly January evenings. The staff are very polite and helpful. We did wish however that we had a better grasp of French as it was difficult to make ourselves understood at times - for... More
