The staff here is just fantastic, especially Mohammed, who guided us through how to make the most of Marrakech, and spent a lot of time with us. This riad also has a night guard, someone who's always present to ask questions--like a concierge--and can come get you if you get lost. Quite important: this riad has air conditioning in most... I was traveling through Morocco with my wife. We booked this Riad as our first accommodation in Marrakech. It was our first time in Morocco, and Marrakech is a desert caravan city, unlike any place that I had ever been before. The city is an ancient labyrinth of jumbled alleyways and snakelike passages. The souks are markets, where they specialize... More

All the riads we stayed in while in Morocco were wonderful. What made this place exceptional was its superb staff. First, the mundane - reasons why I'd stay here again: Rooms were adequate for our group of 3; we were a couple and a good friend, and we were in the Idriss - two double rooms that adjoined through a... Tucked away in a quiet alley, this riad is so peaceful and yet conveniently located for exploring the old town. My husband and I stayed here just one night before heading off to a trek in the Atlas mountains. We wished we had longer! A nice breakfast, on an even nicer terrace. Just make sure you pay attention to how... More

Le Coq Fou is a very special place. What makes it is the team, who are welcoming, friendly, helpful and supportive - there is nothing that is too much trouble for them. I came to Marrakesh and stayed in March with friends, came back 3 months later with my children and will be back, staying with Leela, Fatiha, Abdul and... More

Can't fault this riad. Have travelled extensively but this is great value for money. Excellent location, great staff and lovely decor. The staff happily organise tours and we were even invited back to a staff members house for dinner (which was excellent!). Stay here!

This riad is a special little spot hidden away from the intensity of the medina. They were doing some renovating/painting in their main courtyard, so we weren't able to enjoy that setting upon arrival. They have many other terraces, including a beautiful roof top that gives you the true Marrakech experience. We were greeted warmly by Mohammad who was eager... More

Our family had a wonderful experience at the riad. Mohammed provided a warm welcome and continued to see to our needs throughout our trip. We had booked some tours online before we arrived, but he can arrange anything that you need once you arrive; for us this included a driver for a visit to Essaouiria and a henna artist at... More

This is a fantastic riad right in the heart of Marrakech. We were picked up at the airport and dropped off in the square near the riad, because it is in the souks, and the streets aren't big enough for cars. Abdul and Laila were lovely, and there was a delicious complimentary breakfast every morning. If you're in Marrakech, this... More

We decided to stay at the Riad in Morocco, after finding an article in The Guardian and reading the wonderful story that surrounded Le Coq Berber and Le Coq Fou, owned by an Italian. Upon our arrival there, we were greeted by their manager Sabina, who is fluent in several languages, conversing in French, Italian, Spanish and English. She, a... More
