The hotel & staff were reasonably attentive. However they really were limited in their understanding of English. So if your french is very poor or non-existent then dont expect satisfactory answers to your questions. The rooms were ok but limited double bed options so had to push together two singles. Breakfast was ok too..nothing to shout about though. Nevertheless the... More

We choose the hotel because it's perfect located near the Medina but also near the nightlife locations in the Hivernage. We liked the pool area and good beds in the hotelroom. But for the rest it's a bit old. The door locks of the room are also old and unsafe. We asked for an extra key but was not available... More

A friend and I couldn't chose between hotels so we opted for this one as it was closer to everything and glad we did as its a 10minute walk from the markets/ medinas and hotels! The hotel is quiet, clean and well maintained. The rooms were nice- basic but what do you need really unless you're planning on camping out... More

If you want as we did to take a day out of the hustle and bustle and enjoy a few beers and lunch by the pool then this is a good shout. 150dh each for entry was a bargain we thought and v reasonable food and drink prices. Only downside was it was pretty hard to find! Asked a lot... More

After reading some of the reviews here I really dont know why some people go abroad at all. How many people who work in english hotels speak French? so why should the french speaking morrocans speak english?! having said that, allthough I can speak a little french i really didnt need to as virtually everyone spoke english at some level.And... We stayed at this hotel in Nov 14, we checked out a day early as there was nothing to do as it for such bad weather the hotel is not set up for English speaking tourists as all there tours were french only so left us with nothing to do, breakfast was good plenty choice, pool is heated although could... This hotel has a perfect location, about 5-10 minutes walking distance from the Square Jamaa el fna. Nice breakfast and pool area, lot of choices for a Moroccan hotel and correct room but nothing special at least it s clean. The wifi is very poor in all areas of the hotel, if you like to stay in touch with your... More

Having previously stayed in a riad I decided to opt for a place from where we could escape the madness and claustrophobia of the city . I did, however, want to be close to the action , within walking distance. Hotel Chems was a fantastic choice. It's a 1960s looking building and the reception and rooms aren't plush but it's... More

Visited April 10-17 2015 with my parents and 2 Boys aged 5 and 7. Boys loved the pool which was warm, as well as the tennis courts (balls and rackets provided) and ping pong. Very child friendly and my boys made friends with other children staying there - who were French, Moroccan, Indian, English and Danish. Excellent location, I wanted... More

We were not really happy about the place. We got used to Morrocan hospitality, but didnt see any of it in Hotel Chems. The food was not quite good and much the same. The rooms are crappy and the matrasses are old and give you back-aches. As for the wifi: we werent even able to open a website. Apart from... More
