This was our first Riad experience and we were so glad to have selected Dar Rocmarra, especially as we returned twice after forays into other parts of Morocco and each time it was like coming home. The decor is simple, with well chosen Moroccan details but understated and the facilities were all we needed. The warm welcome, mint tea and... More

If you are staying in Marrakesh, you must stay at a riad for the full experience and this one is excellent. Jamilla and all the staff are excellent, friendly, and you get a very personalised service. The breakfast each morning is also excellent. The only thing of concern is the location. Although its situated in an excellent location, close to... More

Thank you for the lovely review, though i should say that anyone that knows the medina will agree that the area we are in (dar el bacha) is in one of the safest and most easily accessible parts of what can be a difficult place to navigate for a first timer to Marrakech. The soldiers and police are simply guards... More

Dar Rocmarra is located at the end of a long, quiet alleyway inside the medina in Marrakech. Despite the busy chaos of the city happening nearby, it feels so quiet and isolated that you would never know. The inside of the riad is elegant and classy, but has a comforting, cozy feel as well. We very much enjoyed eating by... More

Located about 10 minutes from D'jema el Fnaa, this is a beautifully restful, lovingly-restored riad. The design is understated minimalism rather than extravagant, the rooms are comfortable and quiet, the staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the food is simple but very tasty. Jamilla is a great host and goes out of her way to help. Highly recommended.

We stayed in the dar rocmarra 2 weeks ago, we were quite unlucky with the weather (november) so we consirered ourselves extremely lucky to have chosen this riad. It is extremely peaceful (only 5 rooms!) & cozy and located right in the medina at the end of some wiggly dark streets which makes it really authentic. The fire was lit... More

Thanks Luisa And so happy you liked the music! As we have chosen not to have tv at the riad the ambience we feel is enhanced by the music which is carefully selected, come back soon ! More

I Had a week in Marrakech to celebrate my birthday with friends ending at the wonderful Dar Rocmarra. Initially we booked to stay at the owners country villa, 20 minutes outside of Marrakech, but was persuaded by them to try a few days at their Riad in the Medina. Once we were at the villa, which is set amongst acres... More

Thank you , we hope others will try the place in the country, though you will probably need 2 or 3 days in each to really appreciate both. More

Whilst walking through the narrow alleys I did wonder what was ahead, well we arrived at the door of the Riad and were greeted by two wonderful people, Jalil and Jamilla, what a lovely sight, beautiful courtyard, fresh flowers on the table, lovely water fall just great ambiance. Our room was clean, comfortable, lovely linen and very quiet. First evening... More

First: staff are unparalleled in friendly, higher-than-expectations service; full of solid local info and recommendations. Second, accommodations and environment are warm and in like-new condition; unusual for this region of the world: everything works - lights & switches, water cold & hot, toilets, etc. Rooftop terrace breakfast was excellent. Staff even provided unscheduled coffee during the day and helpful directions... More

Staying in a Riad is a must for an authentic Moroccan experience. Staying in this Riad is a must for the best Moroccan experience. From the moment we arrived until we left, we were treated beautifully. Jamila's excellent cooking, directions for culinary schools, hamman experiences and rooftop meals rounded out the fun chaos of the markets and souks. To top... More

Just returned from a three night stay with other family members. It was our first trip to Marrakech and first experience of a Riad. Dar Rocmarra certainly has the Wow factor from the minute you walk through the door. Our room on the ground floor was very tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. The courtyard dining room was beautiful and the... More
