I have thoroughly enjoyed staying at Dar Al Hamra with my Husband for 10 days. The owner Mr. Moulay El Alaoui was very welcoming and made us feel right at home and the staff at the Riad could not do enough for us, specially the girls Fatima and Hajiba who were both fantastic at serving us a tasty breakfast every... We stayed here with four other friends. It was a couples trip. We loved Dar Al Hamra and the location. We were able to walk to jemaa el fna. Taxis were cheap and made it easy to get out of the medina and into the more modern parts of Marrakesh like Gueliz and the casino. The girls loved all the... More

Very nice and comfortable hostel close to the city center, hidden in a calm place even if lively streets are behind the corner. Airconditioned, with nice terrace. Drawbacks: just in front of a mosque therefore prayers waking you up twice - at 5 and 6am. But one gets used to it. Every day THE SAME SIMPLE SWEET BREAKFAST! Makes you... More

Just returned home after a 6 night stay here in one of the double rooms. I paid about £35 a night, booked through Venere. The good: Good value Small & characterful. Perfect location - literally couldn't be better in my view. 10 minutes walk from the heart of the medina and the same from the Gueliz area which is the... More

Our stay in Daralhamra was such a wonderful experience ! The staff and the owner Moulay received us with such warm welcoming by presenting delicious Moroccan tea to us. The Raid is so charming with the authentic Moroccan decoration with a beautiful terrace over looking the Atlas mountain where we loved having our traditional breakfast serve to us by Brahim.... More

We spent 4 days at Al Hamra within walking distance to the medina. They also organize excursions to the dessert. We did a 2 day 1 night trip incl. a camel ride to the berber camp which was unforgettable. The rooms at Al Hamra were a good size, clean, new linnen, tv. The breakfast was similar to the other riads... More

Originally booked with Dar Al Hamra, however when arrive we decided we wanted a larger room, but they were fully booked. The man running the Riad was very understanding and managed to get us the room we wanted at at his neighbor's Riad for a decent price. Despite moving Riads the staff at Dar Al Hamra continued to help us... More
