Our host Chakib greeted us in a very friendly relaxed manner with mint tea and information about the Riad and Marrakesh. Our room was gorgeous on the 2nd floor with comfortable bed, huge bathroom and lounge area. Breakfast on the terrace was served by two charming women. The Riad was very clean, comfortable, quiet except for the birds in the... More

Having scoured the internet looking at different Riad's and their reiews for weeks, my girlfriend and I finally booked Dar Tasime. Chakib is a wonderful, interesting, and engaging man. From start to finish, he was tirelessly hospitable; even going as far as to walk us to Jama Al-Fna the first day and show us how to get there and back,... More

Quintessential Marrakech! This was a lovely and very clean Riad in the kasbah. The proprietor and staff were exceptionally kind. The place doesn't look like much from the outside as there is construction going on in this little area next to the Saadian Tombs (don't waste your time there by the way), but inside is a quaint oasis. The owner... More

I agree with much of what's been written, including the mosque and the birds waking you up. I'd add too the little kiosk that's right outside the ground floor unit where people gather and yap for much of the day. And yeah, that doorway provided a few bumps and bruises going in and out of the bathroom (which had some... More

What can I say, We expected so much reading the reviews before we flew, but Chakib and his amazing Riad delivered so much. After a daunting drive from the airport through the packed streets of the medina, it was a relief to walk into the cool and calm riad and our beautiful room. Chakib was quick to sit down with... This riad is a brand new renovation and thus lacks some of the charm of the older properties. It's very clean and tidy though. I'm guessing that I had the same room as "Thambisub4" as I too have bruised shoulders from the bathroom door frame! Breakfast is pretty basic but they are very flexible about the timing. Chakib asks for... More

My wife and I had a great stay at riad Dar Tasnime! Rooms are very well appointed and comfortable and the included breakfast was very good-Moroccan crepes, flat bread, rolls, jams and fresh squeezed orange juice! We also liked the location very much. The kasbah is right outside the door and just a few minutes walk to Jamaa el Fna.... More

My husband and I stayed at Dar Tasnime in February 2010 for a short break 'mini moon' just after our wedding! We were collected from the airport as pre-arranged and ushered efficiently to the Riad. The outside wall is unassuming, but behind the ornate door is a charming, comfortable, beautifully furnished Riad that we would definately return to and recommend... More

If you want to stay in the medina, this is a brilliant option, the riad is lovely. Our host , Chakib was really helpful giving us maps & showing us the best places to see. He also booked us a trip into the mountains at short notice. It is very near the mosque so expect to be woken at around... More

This is a fantastic hotel -- I would highly recommend it. The owner is extremely helpful and friendly, and he helped make my exprience in Marrakech even more enjoyable. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the morning breakfast is fantastic. The location is also great, about 10 min walk to the main square. The only downside to the place... More
