After a long, hot bike ride from the desert Riad Assakina was a sanctuary in the madness that is Marrakech. We were only able to stay for one night but Grant & Michelle were very helpful, sorting out parking for the bike and advising us on how we could get the best out of the City in the short time... Assakina is a welcomed oasis in the hustle and bustle of the Medina. The Riad has been beautifully restored and decorated. Each room is has a different theme, and the courtyard, salon and roof terrace are fantastic areas to chill out after a hard days shopping/bargaining at the souks. The pool was a welcomed relief from the heat of Marrakech... More

Spent a long weekend weekend at Riad Assakina (for friend’s 50th). It was tremendous. Assakina is a beautiful sanctuary of calm in a wonderfully hectic and crazy city. We held a ‘Big Party’ on the Saturday night and Grant & Michelle didn't just accommodate our needs but joined in the (ridiculous) fun! It was a magical if slightly unhinged evening.... More

Riad Assakina is a truly first class Riad, Grant & Michelle and their team looked after us extremely well and we felt very welcome and relaxed at all times. We were given excellent advice about where to go and eat and advice about the Souks. The evening meal we had was fantastic and the standard of cooking is what you... More

It was our (me and my girlfriend Nina) visit in Morocco. We choose Raid Assakina for our stay in Marrakesh and we were so happy with our choice. The decor at this riad is stunning. The rooms are very stylish with wonderful Morrocan antiques. Michelle and Grant are excellent hosts and give great shopping and tourist tips. The riad is... More

Michelle and her staff made us all incredibly welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. We certainly hit the ground running once outside in the busy souks and streets. We knew where to eat and drink, where to get the best bargains, how much a cab should cost, what place sof interest to visit etc. It saved us a huge amount... More

Definitely recommend this lovely Riad - quietly located in the Jewish quarter and close to the palace and within easy walking distance of the souks. Owners were very hospitable and helpful. We had a wonderful stay!

I chose this Riad from TA as a surprise wedding anniversary trip with my wife. We could not have chosen better. It all started with a very friendly and helpful exchange of emails. The welcome at the door from Michele and Grant was as if we were old friends returning for the umpteenth time. The decor was stunning - Michele... More

Whitsunday weekend we spend in Marrakech for 5 nights. It was an hard choice between all the riads, but this was really the perfect place. It deserves every good review that is on this site. There is absolutely nothing about this place that is not nice. After a busy and hot day in the medina this is the perfect place... More
