I have been to Riad Sidi Ayoub twice. It is such a beautiful place. Having breakfast in the courtyard next to the gentle trickle of the fountain and with tiny birds flying around you is just so special. The first time I arrived late at night having done battle with young men who had insisted in taking my bags (the... More

We were two ladies travelling to Marrakech for the first time. We were met at the taxi, bags carried and a warm welcome with mint tea and biscuits. As we arrived late the staff kindly walked us to a traditional cafe and waited to walk us back. They supply you with a clearly marked map and after one day we... More

This riad is definitely an oasis. Behind the door is a beautiful courtyard and gorgeous rooms, peaceful and quiet tucked away from the hustle and bustle of djema el fna, which is just a few minutes walk away. The rooms overlook the courtyard filled with orange and citron trees and the open terrace allows the sun to shine in every... More

We visited Marrakech for a week over Christmas. The Riad is a beautiful haven of tranquility just 15mins walk from the bustling main square. The staff were all very pleasant and attentive. Only criticism was that the room was cold at night, however this is very normal for Moroccan Riads and as such, ensured the experience was authentic.

This is a return trip to a Riad we have enjoyed before. We love the walk to the Jma el Fna square as that is the true Medina experience. The shops along the way are so worth exploring as you can buy some real bargains. I totally fail to see why anyone would not love the walk into the square... More

Although quite a walk to the Plaza Jma El Fna ( 10 to 15 mn walk), it is situated in a more authetic area where the local population lives. It is not a touristic area. The prices are therefore more acceptable than what is expected in Riads around the centre and the Medina. The Riad is extremely confortable, the staff... More

Upon arrival we were welcomed with tea and the bags were carried to our room. The room was very large and the beds comfortable. Everything was clean. My only problem was that due to the size of the room the AC could not get the room as cool as I would have hoped. On the second night this problem was... More

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at this Riad in the Medina (a holiday organised by AA Driveway). The accommodation was quiet, clean and spacious and included a 4 poster bed, shower (hand held), sink area with plenty of space to put your necessaries, good space for clothes too. We stayed on the 3rd floor and although the prayer... More

This Riad has had fairly mixed reviews recently, some glowing, others highlighting deficiencies/problems. This was part of an AA Getaways break, for four nights. First the positive aspects. It has plenty of character as it was formerly a palatial dwelling. Typical Moroccan decor in all areas, including the rooms, which were clean. A good location (approximately fifteen to twenty minutes... More
