We were a family of three adults visiting Marrakesh in early March 2015.We really enjoyed our stay here. The Rooms very tastefully decorated, very ethnic, with great attention to detail. Don't be surprised if you still notice new things after seven days there.Very restful, overlooking a lovely courtyard,You feel like the venue is all yours - it is not possible... More

Wow! Riad Karmela is amazing. I'm not sure anything I say can do it justice. Behind a rather plain door in the narrowest gloomiest alley is a beautiful oasis of calm with so many nooks and crannys and a roof terrace to die for. The staff are very attentive and the owner, Joel, is very hands on. Having read reviews... More

Hidden away, down the narrowest of hidden alley ways lies a gem, an oasis of order and calm amongst the chaos and industry of the medina's further reaches. Unique rooms with glorious doors. Attentive and almost invisibly floating staff tend to your every need. The courtyard and it's beautiful atmosphere for breakfast. The terrace's aim to assist you in avoiding... More

Would certainly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Marrakech. It's in the heart of the Medina, but once you turn off into the alleyway and through the doors of the hotel, it's like entering a different world, an oasis of calm. The staff are, without exception, kind and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They arranged trips for us... More

Unless you are familiar with the medina you will never find this hotel on your own. We had the services of one of the hotel staff but there are plenty of willing helpers, who of course will expect payment (20 dirham or mad per case will do it) The hotel is in a reasonably central location and once you know... When we arrived the owner informed us about everything and gave us a map. Very nice riad cheap and they know how to work. Riad karmela is the main riad. There you can go and sit drink eat. The owner knows how to work the riad and he is very professional on his job. If I come to marrakech I... More

We stayed at the El Nour as part of a Peregrine tour of Morocco. It's part of the Riad Jarmela, located centrally in the Old Medina, near the souks and Jamaa el Fna square. It was a fabulous end to the trip - the Riad was absolutely gorgeous. Rooms were comfortable, large and stylish, plus the upstairs terrace with plunge... More

We decided to go to morocco for something different. My wife and I are experienced travelers and have been all over. This Riad was an exciting treat. It was in very good condition, within walking distance to everything in he Medena, and the staff made it that much more amazing. We stayed on the El Nour side of the Riad.... More

The El Nour is part of the Riad Karmela, all the services provided are in the Karmela but the rooms and communal living area (like a lounge bit) is in the El Nour. We liked being away from the main Riad, they are literally across the the way so not far at all. The breakfast was lovely, lots of bread!... More

Although we initially booked at Riad el Nour, we ended up staying at Riad Karmela. It was an amazing place with very friendly, helpful and lovely staff. The Riad is a welcome relief after the hectic souks and the roof terrace was beautiful. The meals were great and we had a sensational holiday here.
