This is a beautiful property. The staff were wonderful, friendly people. Graham was a gracious host. Having a glass of wine on the roof at sunset is fantastic. Had a large room with 3 twin beds and a sitting room, which was perfect for 3 friends. Absolutely take them up on meeting you in the car park, we would never... More

We stayed in the ground floor room. It was a little small, but doable. There were a few large roaches that we noticed the final evening. The owner was very helpful when we had to make phone calls to the airport about our missing luggage.

Graham our host was so helpful organising us pick up and a half day tour around Fez through email beforehand. He had beer and wine in the kitchen which we could avail of at an extra cost. We were also able to help ourselves to coffee and tea from the kitchen and use the amenities in the kitchen. We had... More

As a regular visitor to Fes I've stayed in many places but Dar El Menia remains my favourite. I've reviewed the Dar before but it's always good to remind oneself of it's qualities. Well placed just off the main 'drag' of the Medina and close to the nearest car park. Well appointed rooms, a relaxed atmosphere, friendly helpful and knowledgable... More

Dar El Menia is a hidden secret tucked in the most narrow alley deep inside the Fes medina. Our visit with our teenage sons was one of the most memorable trips we will ever have. Dar El Menia boasts absolute authenticity of true moroccan decor oozing welcome hospitality. The rooms are most generous in size and comfort. Home made breads, jams... More

During my recent three week visit to Fes, i slept in eleven different riads and dars. Dar el Menia was one of the top places in terms of beauty, quality of service and food, as well as comfort. It was not easy to find it as it is not marked correctly on the map on their webpage, and google maps... More

I had a great trip even though the weather was mixed (completely normal for January) Graham and his small team really go out of their way to ensure that all needs are met as far as possible to make for an enjoyable stay and to get the most out of the medina neighbourhood. The rooms are comfortable with heating and... More

Yes, the accolades tell it all. Great breakfast, charming fittings, many of copperwork and the little local touches in the decor were quite nicely done. Also being near to the Cafe Clock was wonderful. The business arrangements were clearly and properly communicated. Now given the price, one can get a very central, decent modern style hotel in say Marrakech for... More

I stayed at Dar El Menia for 5 nights. I found it exactly as described on the website. The decor was lovely and the room comfortable and clean. Nice view from the roof. (The stairs up to the roof and rooms are very steep.) Breakfast was good and the maintenance man and his wife who cooked and served it were... More

It is true, when you are spending and entire day inside the Fes Medina you need a place to chill and recover from all the information you get on the streets. Dar El Menia was this place for us. It was strategically located, really close to the “blue gate” and easy to find (we never got lost once in 4... More
