Dar El Menia is perfectly located on a tiny alley way just off the Medina's main street, Talaa Kibira - minutes walk from all sights of interest. Behind a beautifully carved door is a luxurious oasis, a traditional house restored to its original grandeur with all mod cons discretely installed without compromising the house's traditional appeal. We ate a home... more

Dar El Menia is exactly what you want when staying in Fez Medina! It is an extremly old courtyard house with all its old features and charms intact. Restored tp a high standard and with all the modern facilities you would expect. Staff are warm and friendly and the evening meal we ate on the terrace was the best we... more

Well, I chose Dar El Menia based on all of the greats reviews here and I they are all right. Dar El Menia is a wonderful place to stay. I was with my husband, 3 daughters (8, 13 and 15) and my parents and I wanted somewhere that we could have to ourselves. It was very pretty, especially the lovely... more

Everything is simply beautiful in this house which still has a fresh smell of linseed oil from a recent total renovation. Every little detail has been carefully chosen, and I just hated to place my fluorescent green plastic toothbrush in the aged ceramic cup in the bathroom, it looked so misplaced. Graham (the owner) and his staff Abdul and Mostapha... more

The riad was a real treat to stay in . It is centrally located and the rooms are decorated in a traditional way but at the same time they offer comfort and a peaceful retreat from the busy medina. The staff couldn't have done more for us . One member of staff even walked us to the taxi rank at... more

A beautifully restored riad right in the centre of the medina, only a minute or so from one of the main streets in Fez. It's extremely quiet at night and has a great roof terrace with views over the medina and to the surrounding hills. The owner and staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, and the riad has a very... more

Our family of four book a suite at Dar El Menia in July of this year. Two double rooms conected by a balcony overlooking the inner courtyard. The house is stunning and the rooms are likewise. The decor is quite minimal compared to other riads we stayed in which seem to go way over the top and look a bit... more

We stayed at Dar El Menia for 3 nights. It is a very beautiful guesthouse and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The house is a traditional Magreb house built around a central courtyard. The restoration is of a high standard and the ensuites are done with taste. The roof terrace has excellent views and cool in the evenings. The... more
