Everything other reviewers have said about this lovely riad is true--the warmth of the staff, the beauty of the rooms and living areas, the total attention to comfort and detail. I can't add much to what they have already written, but I will offer three bits of specific advice: 1) absolutely take a cooking class with Fatima--we thoroughly enjoyed making... More

In preparing for a trip to Fez, one realizes very quickly that there are many, many lodging options within Fez medina. As such, it cannot be easy for a hotel to be in the top rank on Tripadvisor. And so in that light, having stayed at Riad Laaroussa recently for 4 nights, we can only affirm that every single glowing... More

This riad is amazing! You will not regret staying here. The building is beautifully restored lots of pretty tiles! It is filled with gorgeous moroccan furniture and the decor is modern but moroccan. It is a stunning oasis of calm with a gorgeous courtyard filled with orange trees. The stairs are steep so best to keep that in mind before... More

This hotel has definitely one of the best service I've ever had! Located in the between the 2 main streets this refurbished 300 year old building is barely marked, hidden in a small alleyway. Inside you will find a stunning courtyard with orange trees. The decor is modern with Moroccan influences. Stairs are steep unless you have one of the... More

From start to finish this Riad was amazing! Upon arrival we were given an upgrade from the Little Brown room to the Red room. Staff was just wonderful. They confirmed our dinner reservations, made arrangements for a guide of the medina and got a driver to take us to Meknes and Vouliblis. Our guide was fabulous and took us to... More

The Riad Laaroussa is a wonderfully atmospheric hotel in the old city. We chose the red room, and loved the coloured glass windows, the view over the courtyard and the view from the rooftop. The food here was pretty good, but we didn't eat much better elsewhere. We had a hammam which was nice, and the owners are friendly. Recommended.

Our stay at Riad Laaroussa spoilt us for everything else that came later in our holiday! The riad itself has been wonderfully restored and both it and the rooms are very comfortable. The location in central Fes medina was great for exploring (if you can manage the maze of streets and alleys). We appreciated also the bird song waking us... More

The Riad Laaroussa is a first class establishment. ALL of the staff, were ever so kind, helpful and nothing was to much trouble. The meals were excellent......especially the breakfasts. Location is perfect, with most attractions in the medina, just a short walk. A special mention to FZ...want a friendly, happy soul, who went out of her way, to make our... More

What a treasure! We stayed for 4 nights in October & were fortunate enough to get the green room! (With the most amazing bathroom we've ever had!!) Like medinas all over the Middle East, Fez is a bit of labyrinthian chaos, which made us all the more appreciative of the tranquil calm of the Riad Laaroussa! Fred & Cathy have... More

can't say enough good about this place. it's made by the fantastic culture of the folks who work there-a culture created and maintained by the lovely and charming Fred and Kathy. the grounds are beautiful, food is very good, rooms are interestingly decorated. one piece of advice: if you have limited mobility, the upper floor rooms are not for you....
