Lonely Planet Morocco travel guide was absolutely right when it wrote Dar El Hana guesthouse in Fes, Morocco is "a home away from home." We stayed at this charming, reasonably priced, friendly centrally located (in the heart of the old city medina) quiet guesthouse for 4 days this November, 2015, and loved it. The staff Arantxa (manager), Simo (jack of... More

The staff was very communicative from the beginning and they always answered my emails and helped me organizing the trip. The Riad is well located, clean and furniture are beautiful. The terrace is amazing and the breakfast too. We also had dinner the first night and it was tasty and abundant (thank you Fatima!) Simo was a plus to all... More

After a compact economy flight into a strange city there's little better than being picked up by a friendly driver sent from the very dar within which you are about to stay. Travelling in space but also in the case of the medina, in time ( the "new" part dates from the 13th century and the old from the 9th... More

Run by people who actually live in the Fez Medina, Dar El Hana is a gem of a find. From the moment we stepped off the plane, we were looked after. The English speaking, wonderfully welcoming taxi driver met us in the airport and took us to Fez, telling us about the sights on the way. When we arrived there... More

Wonderful place in the middle of the Medina of Fes. It is hard to find, but great value and ditto service. Very friendly people and nice rooms. Don't forget to enjoy the sun roof in the late afternoon, and for breakfast.

Six of us rented the whole house for our stay which coincided with the Sacred Music Festival we had eight wonderful nights there. It is tucked away deep in the medina, loads of atmosphere the minute you step outside of the front door. The breakfasts were tasty and plentiful & would fill you up for the whole day, & we... More

We stayed for four days in June. This is a cozy "dar" (home) rather than a "riad" (palace). there are only four rooms. The owner lives nearby, and visits daily. Each room is unique. Bathrooms are modern and comfortable. Dar El Hana is hidden, deep in the medina, but accessible from parking areas nearby. There also are convenient, value restaurants... More

Dar El Hana was a fabulous place for our 2 night stay in Fes. Perfectly located in the Medina and beautiful accommodation. Very welcoming managers, Ben met us at the taxi stand and walked us through the medina showing us the best routes. Great roof top terrace with delicious breakfast. Highly recommend staying at this wonderful place.

I went to Fes with my boyfriend for 4 nights. Unfortunately they didn’t have the double room we wanted for all 4 nights, but Dar el Hana was SO well recommended by our friends, that we decided to make the reservation even though we had to switch rooms and even sleep in separate beds… IT WAS WORTH IT! Perfectly located... More

To stay at Dar el Han is like to feel home. The house (a typical moroccan dar) is very cozy, with a capacity of maximum 10 guests. This makes it very . You can have breakfast or dinner with other guests, and at the same time you can not see anyone, since the staff is not there 24h. This does... More
