I have stayed at Dar El Hana a number of times over the last couple of years. I always look forward to returning there on my visits to Fes. I have stayed in two of the four rooms offered at the dar and each room has been very comfortable, clean, and inviting. The first time I stayed there was in... More

My father and I went to Morroco for my first time and we agreed that we wanted to stay in the medina of Fez. We had found this B&B through the Rough Guide and it sounded charming and comfortable. We really had a wonderful time getting to know the other people and the owner of Dar el Hana. They had... More

Welcomed by amazingly friendly owners and their superb staff. Jo has put great effort into ensuring that every nook and cranny of this treasure is authentic. You fall back into the depths of time. Positioned round the corner from the action of the medina, you experience food, rugs, pottery, wood carving, jewellery, materials, leather and eating places - all a... More

We found Dar El Hana to be an oasis of calm in the Fes medina. Our room, the Jacaranda Suite, was comfortable and large, with lovely bathroom attached. The decor is lovely, lots of mosaics and cedarwood furniture to add ambiance. The airconditioning was a great help, as Fes in winter gets cold! The wifi worked most of the time... More

We were made incredibly welcome at Dar El Hana during a 3 night stay. The house has been gorgeously restored and there is a story behind every item you find there - from the mosaic table, the leather pouffes and the beautiful lamps to the curtain tie-back. Our room was spacious, comfortable and quiet, which was very welcome after the... More

I've been to Dar El Hana twice now and it never fails to disappoint. Right in the centre of Fes Medina it really is the most perfect home away from home - with a little added luxury. Spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and with possibly the best cook in the Medina (the adorable Fatima) it is possibly the best place in... More

My Dearest Beckiesitchyfeet, it was such a pleasure having you in the house again. I am hoping you didn't mean to confuse people by saying: "we never fail to disappoint", and still give us a perfect score. The wonderful sunny weather we enjoyed during your stay, of course you'll be back. More

My boyfriend and i, and another couple spent 2 nights at Dar El Hana. We were welcomed by the very friendly and helpful Ben. The Dar is ideally situated, just off a main artery so it's not too noisy, in the middle of the medina. Beds are fantastic, breakfast is great, view on the terrace is wonderfull. More

I was very pleasantly surprised by Dar El Hana. A refurbished Moroccan family home to which there have been numerous mod-cons added. Situated within easy walking distance to all of the highlights in the Medina. Ben and Josephine were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The authentic Moroccan breakfast and dinner was consistently great. Definitely going to stay again the next... More

Dar el Hana is a meticulously restored Moroccan home perfectly situated in medina. Inside, the rooms come off a central, covered courtyard with balconies in traditional tile work and cedar beams overlooking a traditional copper and stained glass chandelier. Each room has its own character and all are utterly charming, spotless clean and authentically appointed with modern, private bathrooms. Do... More
