We stayed only 2 nights at Dar El Hana and loved our time there. Unfortunately Josephine the owner was away but Ben, her assistant and Fatima, the cook looked after us. The Hibiscus room was roomy and comfortable. The bathroom was close by at the bottom of a few steps. We were meet at the railway station (pre arranged and... more

Dar El Hana is at best average. We stayed in the Hibiscus room with a detached private bathroom. However, the bathroom is right off the main living space so it is not that private. The room is actually located directly over an alley, which allows you to hear the roosters and donkeys very early in the morning. So, bring your... more

We loved staying here, the staff were warm and welcoming (and make some excellent food!), and the dar itself is beautifully restored and very charming. It was easy to get information, book guides and trips, and relax when the bustle of Fes life got too much (lovely terrace with plenty of colourful books to browse). Truly magic. more

We stayed in Dar el Hana in May 2009 and had a wonderful time there. Everything was just perfect. The house is so beautiful and decorated with so much love that we felt home from the first minute. Josephines assistant was a perfect host, he did everything to make us feel comfortable and he gave us very good information about... more

When we arrived in Fes it was pouring rain. Josephine, the owner of the hotel, was so kind and met us at our taxi with a luggage boy. She had the most amazing dinner waiting for us and a homemade birthday cake for my daughters birthday. The rooms were clean and very charming, the food was delicious but most important was... more

I have spent 3 night in the Dar el Hana in May 2009. I’ve stayed in the Jacaranda suite, which is very nice. Josephine -who owns the place- is very helpful, breakfast is great and please stay for dinner because Fatima is an excellent cook. There is also a very nice terrace on the roof. The dar is right in... more

I stayed at Dar el Hana at the end of July 2008, and I cannot say enough good about it. All of the rooms were simple and stunning, decorated but not overdecorated with Moroccan textiles and furniture. Josephine, the owner, was beyond friendly, so helpful, and removed any trepidations I might have had about travelling alone as a woman with... more

Stayed here for three nights and were very well looked after. The Dar is small and beautifully restored. Very convenient for the central part of Fez. Excellent breakfasts and evening meal available if pre-booked. Josephine, who runs it, is very helpful and can organise trips, car/driver etc which is useful. Thoroughly recommended. more
