The riad is a magnificent piece of art. The home-like feel made us prefer staying in-house than wandering in the medina. You don't need to lock the room door, it's a peaceful, warm and safe place. Watching the sunset on the terrace is so wonderful. Watching God Father at the common area would also be a good idea. Staying one... More

I don't usually write reviews - but Dar Seffarine is absolutely worth the effort. This riad is beautiful, clean, quiet, reasonable, has got INCREDIBLE views over Fes on a gorgeous terrace. What makes the experience so special though are the wonderful owners - so welcoming and generous. We stayed in a lot of riads during our two week trip and... More

Absolutely the best place I have stayed in my life (I stay in at least ten hotels a year and I am 60!) One reviewer complained that the rooms looked old--the building is over 700 years old! Of course they look old! The rooms have been painstakingly restored by the owners and it is everything such a building can be.... More

One and a half year after I celebrated my birthday at Dar Seffarine I suddenly found myself longing to go back and to re-experience those wonderful days in Fes. Kate and Alaa, Mohamed and the other people in the riad contributed to making my birthday just marvellous, funny and serious, full of surprises and quality, tasty and interesting. I stayed... More

We stayed at Dar Seffarine for 1 night and absolutely loved everything about it!. We were staying at another Dar which we did not like very much so we went to Dar Seffarine and luckily they had a room vacant. Mohammad was wonderful, his hospitality left nothing to be desired. He even picked us up from our other dar where... More

We couldnt express our gratitude more to the owners for creating such a welcoming and cozy environment. We truly felt privileged to have been able to stay here, and I would have been happy to stay a week and just lounge on the roof and wander the medina. We arrived by taxi and were of course accosted by the usual... More

We spent three nights at the Dar Seffarine and cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone traveling to Fes. Kate and Alaa have done an amazing job of renovating the property, and it looks fantastic. The rooftop terrace is such a peaceful place to spend an evening as the sun sets and calls to prayer sound from the minarets. They... More

what a gem of a riad this place is. we stayed for longer than planned as we were not well, but could not have been in a better place in the whole of morocco. the riad is stunning and takes your breath away every morning when you wake up and realise where you are. the owners, kate and alaa are... A short walk from Bab R’cif, down an alley from Seffarine Square where the coppersmiths are working, behind an unmarked door, is this magical place. The entrance opens to a beautiful courtyard filled with the smell of orange blossom. It is here that Alaa, Kate and/or Mohammed will welcome you with mint tea. The riad has been beautifully restored –... More

Wow wow wow…what can I say? This place is a must for anyone travelling to Morocco. It’s worth a trip to Fes just to stay here! Initially difficult to find (but this is the case with most riads in Moroccan medinas!), Dar Seffarine is in the perfect location, a short walk from one of the medina gates, and located next... More
