You will be astonished when you walk into this guest house. Pictures cannot capture the grandeur of the main hall of the Dar. The staff are extremely welcoming and polite. The room we stayed in had no air conditioning, but because of its design really did not require it and we were comfortable the entire time even with oppressively hot... more

Honestly, I will never be able to sum up how much we loved this hotel. And what's left to say as the other reviews have already attempted to encompass all the things that make this place so special and unique! But in a feeble attempt to add to the well-deserved praise, this is a place where you truly do feel... more

I stayed in Fez for a week during the Music Festival and had the chance to find a room at Dar Seffarine (I booked several weeks before as it gets fully-booked very fast for the Festival Period). It was my second stay in Fez but my first at Dar Seffarine and I can't imagine how I would not come back... more

I'm not sure what's left to say. We had an upstairs, air-conditioned suite that was huge and beautiful. Stay here, you won't be disappointed. We booked at least six months ahead and got four nights there, and couldn't have asked for more. The terrace is a great place to unwind and relax at the end of a crazy day in... more

When twinkling Mohammed met us at the gate to the Medina and took us through the bustling lanes to Dar Seffarine he explained that this is to be our home for the next few days, and that is just what it felt like. No hotel reception, no stuffy staff, but really friendly welcoming owners and staff who genuinely welcomed us... more

A truly stunning building. It felt such a privilege to be staying in this palace. No need to go to museums etc, since you're staying in probably the most beautiful house in Fes, impeccably restored. Well, still worth going to the museums etc, but don't expect to see better than this! We paid only 70 euros plus local taxes for... more

This place deserves 5+ stars. As the other reviewers mention, the house and rooms are beautifully restored. To us (2 couples) the charm of the place and the reason to stay here is the owners (Kate and Alaa) and of course Mohammed who takes the best possible care of you. Need a guide, need a taxi, want suggestions on what... more

This is a fabulous place made special by the owners Alaa and Kate as well as their fine attentive staff including the infamous Mohammed. You will want to take him home...we all do. This place takes you back thousands of souls ....it's mystical as is Fes.It also has stairs from hell that go all the way to heaven where you... more

After you've spent the day getting lost in the maze of 9,000+ lanes and alleys of the Medina, Dar Seffarine is the perfect retreat. I won't repeat the accolades for the pristine renovation of this lovely building, but we truly appreciated the refined (and minimalist) restoration, leaving one to appreciate the extraordinary beauty and luxury of the finishes---carved plaster, zellij... more

Stayed in this gorgeous riad for 3 nights. The owners are super friendly and look geniunely interested in their guests. We had the Josephine room on the mezzanine floor which was beautifull, & spacious. Super comfy bed!! Had super there one night, food was marvelous (but rather pricey). Was a good occasion to meet fellow travellers - that added alot... more
