This is probably one of my favorite stays in all of my many travels around the world. The restoration of this Riad/house is so amazing - you have to see the pictures of the original and spend some time talking with the owners about the restoration (also ask to see all the rooms - they are cool!). Normally we don't... more

We’ve spent 2 night in Dar Seffarine. It is well positioned inside the huge medina, near Seffarine Square not far from BAB RCIF, where you can catch a petit taxi for the city or a grand taxi for another town. This is a magnificent carefully restored 600-year-old house, masterpiece of Moorish architecture: The original mosaic floors, the soaring columns, the... more

This hotel is the site of an amazing restoration. The hotel itself is beautiful -- indoor courtyard, tucked away in the metal district of the medina, lovely rooftop terrace, beautiful kitchen, and charming staff. The rooms are spacious, and the whole place has a very sacred vibe to it. However, you pay for it. Located in the heart of the... more

The riad was stunningly gorgeous, both inside and from the rooftop terrace overlooking the medina. Our room was very nice and clean. Breakfast was held at a common table with other guests which provided a nice opportunity to swap travel tips. We spent every evening on the terrace looking over the medina and listened to the calls to prayer that... more

We stayed at Dar Seffarine for 4 nights 7 to 11 October 2009. Ala and Kate's restoration of this Dar obviously reflects there passion to create a special place - atmosphere was like being part of a house party as invited guests. Staff were lovely very welcoming and helpful. Food was lovely - breakfast special. Roof terrace magic in heart... more

Wow! Is really all I can say about Dar Seffarine. It was the highlight of our trip to Morocco - and that's no mean feat as we loved everywhere we travelled to. We were lucky enough to stay in the suite, which is just beautiful. The first half hour in our room was spent just admiring the ceiling. Exquisite. The... more

We stayed at Dar Seffarine for a week. We arrived a day early (on a whim) and were greeted warmly from the moment the antique door swung open. We sipped drinks in the spectacular lobby as they prepared our room. Our whole week was fantastic. Owners Kate and Ala treated us like family. The meals were simply incredible, prepared by... more

Great Hotel, we had a standard double room on the second floor for 80Euros a night and it was the best room we had in Morocco. Huge with great breezes. Great views from the rooftop and a fantastic morning breakfast. Dinner was amongst the best we had in the country, though a bit pricey at 20 Euros a head. Overall,... more

This Dar is unforgettable, make sure to stay at least 2-3 nights and eat breakfast and dinner with your fellow guests. The food is spectacular and the rooftop terrace divine. Allow some time for an evening conversation with Alaa and Kate, you won't regret it. Mohamed will take great care of you, just ask and things appear... more

We stayed at Dar Seffarine in mid-Feb this year, for 3 nights, and how I wish it could be longer. The riad is a work of art..I'm certain that that was how it must have looked like in its former glory and thought how incredibly lucky I am to be able to 'relive' it now! Service (either Gayle or Mohamed)... more
