We only stayed one night in this Riad but were delighted to find that some effort had been made to provide heating during a particularly cold February. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms functioned well. Our contact with staff was fleeting as we were the only guests. The decor was beautiful the location good. More

Fes is one of the most magical places I've ever been to and then staying at the Dar Roumana just makes it all so perfect. The Riad is absolutely gorgeous. When the driver pulls up outside the alley way you will be perplexed to say the least, sweating in your pants wondering where the hell he's taking you, but trust... More

A friend and I stayed in this beautiful Dar for 3 nights. The Dar has been amazingly restored, it was more impressive than some of the museums we visited. The staff are wonderful, we arrived very late the first night and were hungry. They called a local restaurant in the medina and had us escorted over within 10 minutes. Gale,... More

A wonderfully restored riad in Fes. Just a bit out of the very heavily trafficked areas, but in a nice quiet souk. Our room was beautiful, large, and clean. The photos online do not do the place justice. Breakfast every morning was delightful. The staff, Gail in particular, helped my friend and I to have an amazing stay in Fes... More

We stayed at Dar Roumana through New Year and thoroughly enjoyed both the riad and Fes. It's a beautiful building with a wonderfully decorated central atrium and sensational views over the medina from the very spacious roof garden. Our room was one of the less expensive but was large, comfortable and also with beautiful tiles, plasterwork and carved timber roof.... More

We stayed here last November and thought this dar was beautifully restored giving it bags of atmosphere and with excellent views from the Roof Terrace. The rooms are outstanding. We had a problem with the suite we had booked as the airconditioning/heating did not work and the Manager Gail instantly upgraded us to the best suite the Yasmina with a... More

A porter wheeled our luggage up and down the moon-lit alleyways from the taxi stand by Ain-Zleten to the concealed door of Dar Roumana. Mouhamed the assistant manager was there to greet us and offered tea as we sat and appreciated that this beautiful Fassi guesthouse is even better than the pictures on the website. We first read an article... More

We stayed at Dar Roumana in the old medina of Fes and it was absolutely wonderful. Jennifer is a great host and chef. The dar is beautifully restored and has probably the best view of the old medina from the rooftop terrace. The staff was attentive and rooms are clean and comfortable. I would recommend Dar Roumana to anyone visiting... More

It is an absolutely surprising, elegant, chic, amazing and beautiful place in the middle of the Fez Medina. The wall relieves, the colorful tiles, the wood work, are absolutely stunning. Jennifer, the owner, a charming American from Indian, who is living in Fez for some 10 years, explained that she spent 4 years restoring this marvelous Riad. We stayed in... More

I always wanted to see Fez and booked a cheap flight with Ryanair and was looking for a stay within the medina walls. I booked Dar Roumana for 3 nights and reserved the Qarmousa Suite with 2 bedrooms for 115 Euro per night including breakfast. First impression when I entered the Riad..... WOW! A tasteful restored building; it felt royal.... More
